    Abstract: The actuator comprises of two magnetic elements, four metallic wires, a lens holder located between the two magnetic elements for holding a lens, and a planar coiling device affixed on the lens holder. The lens holder further comprises of at least one fixing part whose purpose is to connect with the four metallic wires and keep the lens holder at a hanging status. The planar coiling device further comprises of two focusing coils, two tracking coils and four separated bonding pads, two bonding pads located on each of the two surfaces of the planar coiling device for respectively connecting with the four metallic wires; two of the four bonding pads electrically connect to the two focusing coils and the other two bonding pads electrically connect to the two tracking coils.

    Abstract: A micro-optical pickup head comprising a frame, a lens, a carrier, a lever and a focusing actuator is provided. The carrier is disposed in the frame for carrying the lens. The lever has an effort arm, a load arm and a supporting portion disposed between the effort arm and the load arm. The length of the load arm is larger than the length of the effort arm. The load arm is connected to the carrier. The supporting portion is fixed on the frame and used as a fulcrum of the lever. Besides, the focusing actuator is used for applying a force on the effort arm for enabling the carrier to move along a focusing direction.

    Abstract: An actuator of an optical pickup head with horizontal-arranged magnetic field generator and coil apparatus. The actuator includes a lens holder, a magnetic field generator and a coil apparatus. The coil apparatus is horizontally disposed at one side or two sides of the lens holder and includes a focusing coil and a tracking coil, which are disposed on the same horizontal plane. The magnetic field generator includes a first magnet and a second magnet. The lens holder is horizontally placed between the first magnet and the second magnet. The first magnet and the second magnet respectively have a first magnetic area, a second magnetic area, a third magnetic area, a fourth magnetic area and a fifth magnetic area. Selecting different polarities of the magnetic surface near the coil apparatus in each area can produce a first magnetic field and a second magnetic field that are perpendicular to each other.

    Abstract: An actuator of an optical pickup head for accessing data on a disk includes an object-lens holder, a magnetic field generator and a coil device. The object-lens holder carries an object lens. The magnetic field generator generates a first magnetic field perpendicular to a surface of the disk and a second magnetic field parallel to the surface of the disk. The coil device is horizontally disposed at one side of the object-lens holder. The coil device includes a tracking coil and focusing coil. The tracking coil receives a first current and generates a first force for moving the object-lens holder along a tracking direction according to the first magnetic field. The focusing coil receives a second current and generates a second force for moving the object-lens holder along a focusing direction according to the second magnetic field. The focusing coil and tracking coil are disposed at the same level.
