    Abstract: In a first aspect, the present disclosure provides a method of forming a semiconductor device, including providing an SOI structure comprising a base substrate, a buried insulating material layer formed on the base substrate and an active semiconductor layer formed on the buried insulating structure, forming a germanium-comprising layer on an exposed surface of the active semiconductor layer, forming a trench isolation structure, the trench isolation structure extending through the germanium-comprising layer and the active semiconductor layer, performing an annealing process after the trench isolation structure is formed, the annealing process resulting in an oxide layer disposed on a germanium-comprising active layer which is formed on the buried insulating material layer, and removing the oxide layer for exposing an upper surface of the germanium-comprising active layer.

    Abstract: A method for repairing a light-emitting diode (LED) lighting device is provided. The method includes the operations below. First, the LED lighting device is obtained. The LED lighting device includes a substrate having a top surface and a recess, a first bottom electrode disposed on the top surface and on a bottom surface of the recess, a second bottom electrode disposed on the top surface, an LED disposed in the recess and on the first bottom electrode, and a top transparent electrode disposed on the LED and the second bottom electrode. Then, a test is performed to know whether the first bottom electrode, the LED, the top transparent electrode, and the second bottom electrode form a part of an electrical loop. Finally, a connecting member is formed to electrically connect the first bottom electrode and the second bottom electrode if the electrical loop is open.

The substrate has a through hole for accommodating the vessel; the receiving hole is adjacent to the through hole for receiving the heating element; the first conductive layer has a connecting region formed on the wall of the through hole; and two terminals of the heating element are respectively connected electrically to the first and the second conductive layers. As such, the heat generated from the heating element can be transferred to the through hole via the first conductive layer to heat the vessel.

    Abstract: The present disclosure illustrates a platform system for in vitro cell co-cultivation with automatic trapping function. The platform system aims to develop a bio-chip applied in cell culture systems, and has several features. The first feature is that this co-cultivation platform can construct a micro environment suitable for culture of various cells. The second feature is dynamic perfusion. The microfluidic system is used to dynamically replace the culture medium, in order to maintain an appropriate environment for the growth of cells. The third feature is the automatic trapping. The cells to be cultured can be trapped in a suitable location according to the flow resistance, so that the damaged on the cell caused by manual operation can be minimized.

The present invention uses a sensor to measure an electrophysiological signal and establishes a personalized cardiovascular model through a numerical method, and re-establishes the personalized cardiovascular model through an optimization algorithm. Thus, a human physiological parameter generated from the re-established personal cardiovascular model matches the electrophysiological signal. Therefore, the present invention can provide accurate measurement results with the advantage of a small size, and can be applied to telemedicine field.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for adaptive thermal slope control for dynamic thermal management. In one novel aspect, the device monitors and obtains sampling temperatures, calculates a thermal-slope index, determines whether the calculated thermal-slope index is greater than a predefined slope threshold, adjusts a power budget based on a thermal-slope algorithm, and applies the dynamic thermal management (DTM) adaptively based on the adjusted power budget. In one embodiment, fixed slope algorithm is used. The power budget is adjusted such that an adjusted slope of temperatures stays at a constant. In another embodiment, the time prediction algorithm is used. The power budget is adjusted such that a predicted time to reach a predefined thermal threshold stays a constant. In one embodiment, the time-prediction algorithm is a time-to-target-point (T2TP) algorithm. The T2TP is obtained using a linear equation or a LOG equation.
