  • Patent number: 11903058
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) is provided. The UE receives an indication of one or more timers associated with a radio resource control (RRC) connection establishment procedure or an RRC connection re-establishment procedure with a network entity via a relay. The UE transmits a request associated with an RRC connection to a second UE to be relayed to the network entity and monitors for a response from the network entity based on the one or more timers associated with the RRC connection establishment procedure or the RRC connection re-establishment procedure via the second UE as the relay.

  • Patent number: 11885196
Abstract: The retrievable packer system includes a packer mandrel, a lock ring, an upper cone, a lower cone, a slip device, a retrieval mandrel, and a slotted retrieval sleeve. The lock ring is attached to the packer mandrel, followed by the upper cone, the slip device, the lower cone, and the retrieval mandrel. The upper connection sleeve and the lower connection sleeve cover the packer mandrel so as to form a chamber in fluid connection with slip flow channels of the slip device. The packer system is run into the borehole with the slotted retrieval sleeve in the first position relative to the lower cone and the slip device in the run-in position. The packer system is set and can be locked at a location in the borehole. The slotted retrieval sleeve can push the upper cone to return the slip device to the run-in position for retrieval of the packer system.

  • Publication number: 20240031888
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may relay wireless communications between a first base station and a second UE via at least a sidelink communication link with the second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the first base station, a measurement report for one or more candidate base stations, the measurement report indicating that the one or more candidate base stations support sidelink relay operation. The first UE may receive instructions to perform a handover procedure from the first base station to a second base station of the one or more candidate base stations based on the measurement report, where the second base station supports sidelink relay operation. • Publication number: 20240032135
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and/or a master node may use configurations to resume communications with one or more cells of a dual connectivity (DC) or carrier aggregation (CA) scheme. In some cases, the configuration may be used for a secondary cell group (SCG) of the DC scheme. This configuration may include the UE applying a previously stored configuration for the SCG (e. g., including higher-layer and lower-layer configurations of a last serving SN of the DC scheme) if it determines the previously stored configuration is valid. Additionally or alternatively, the configuration may include the network using a previous SCG configuration or reconfiguring the SCG and transmitting this indication in a resume communications message to the UE. In some cases, the network may determine this configuration based on assistance information or reports generated from the UE.

  • Publication number: 20240031891
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify a relay pairing between a user equipment (UE) and a relay UE. The base station may additionally identify a configuration of the relay UE based on a handover decision associated with the relay pairing. The base station may indicate, to the UE, the configuration of the relay UE, an identifier of the relay UE, and that the UE is to switch to a sidelink communications link with the relay UE. The UE may then establish the sidelink communications link with the relay UE and may indicate, to the relay UE, that the sidelink communication link is for a handover associated with the relay pairing. Based on receiving the indication that the sidelink communication link is for the handover associated with the relay pairing, the relay UE may perform a connection setup procedure with the base station.
