  • Patent number: 9835460
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method that identifies GPS shifting fields for road segments, the GPS shifting fields including areas around the road segments that include false GPS readings of objects that traveled on the road segments. The GPS shifting fields can be revised with a road segment attribute and/or at a driver preference. The road map network can be partitioned into space units, where the road map network can include at least two GPS readings of the object. For each space unit that includes a road segment, a probability that the object was located on the road segment can be calculated for each road segment based on the GPS readings of the object and the GPS shifting fields. The trajectory of the object can be determined based on the computing of the probabilities.

  • Patent number: 9819964
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to an image or raster compression method for a multi-dimensional array of pixels. A user specifies a maximum error allowable per pixel for the compression algorithm. The raster is divided into a number of pixel blocks where each pixel is quantized and bit stuffed based on a number of block statistics including the maximum error allowable. The size of the pixel blocks is limited to two (e.g., 8×8 and 16×16) to save processing time with little difference in compression. A Look-Up Table (LUT) is used instead for certain types of data where it is more efficient.

  • Publication number: 20170160408
Abstract: A method and a PET apparatus are provided. According to an example of the method, a saturation indicia of a target detector may be determined through simulating emission of a ? photon to the target detector. The target detector is any one of SiPM detectors of a PET apparatus. The saturation indicia is for designating a maximum output voltage after amplifying an output of the target detector through a VGA when one ? photon is received by the target detector. The target VGA is a VGA corresponding to the target detector. By comparing an output voltage of the target VGA and the saturation indicia, it may determine that the target detector received a saturation event if the output voltage of the target VGA is higher than the saturation indicia. An amplifier gain of the target VGA may be adjusted until an amount of the saturation events detected by the target detector in unit time satisfies a pre-determined threshold.
