The controller may identify a subset of word line groups, of the plurality of word line groups, for a NAND detect empty page (NDEP) scan operation. The controller may perform, based on identifying the subset of word line groups, the NDEP scan operation for the subset of word line groups. A voltage threshold for the NDEP scan may be based on an offset voltage that can be adaptive based on parameters such as quantity of program-erase cycles, memory cell type, and/or operating temperature, among other examples.

Using a hand bounding box generated by detecting and tracking the hand, gesture classification is performed to determine a gesture input associated with the hand. A command input associated with the determined gesture input is processed. The device may be a smart television, a smart phone, a tablet, etc.

    Abstract: A system uses a neural network based model to perform scene text recognition. The system achieves high accuracy of prediction of text from scenes based on a neural network architecture that uses double attention mechanism. The neural network based model includes a convolutional neural network component that outputs a set of visual features and an attention extractor neural network component that determines attention scores based on the visual features. The visual features and the attention scores are combined to generate mixed features that are provided as input to a character recognizer component that determines a second attention score and recognizes the characters based on the second attention score. The system trains the neural network based model by adjusting the neural network parameters to minimize a multi-class gradient harmonizing mechanism (GHM) loss. The multi-class GHM loss varies based on a level of difficulty of the sample.

    Abstract: A method for preparing a non-human mammal or progeny thereof, and the use thereof. The preparation method includes making a CH1 domain of an IgM heavy chain constant region not expressed or incorrectly expressed in the non-human mammal; and making one, two, three, four or more genes encoding an IgG heavy chain constant region in the non-human mammal not express or incorrectly express a CH1 domain during expression. The obtained non-human mammal or progeny thereof can be used for preparing a heavy chain antibody. The non-human mammal obtained by using the preparation method of the present application does not introduce any exogenous gene encoding heavy chain variable and constant regions of an antibody, and can directly use all VDJ genes encoding the heavy chain variable region of the antibody in its own genome, so as to produce more diverse heavy chain antibodies.

    Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a preparation method of ginseng composition with high ginsenoside bioavailability. The composition is composed of ginseng powder of 250 meshes or more and ?-cyclodextrin, and the mass ratio of the ginseng powder to the ?-cyclodextrin is 1:0.05. Results show that when ?-cyclodextrin is used as a solid dispersant and added to the 1000-mesh ginseng powder at a mass ratio of 5%, the total dissolution amount is maximum; and furthermore, animal experiments (SD rats) show that the area under the plasma drug concentration-time curve (AUC0-48 h) after 48 h of ginseng powder ingestion is maximum, indicating that in-vivo bioavailability of the ginseng powder is the highest. The method of this application can effectively inhibit the aggregation of the ultra-finely pulverized 1000-mesh ginseng powder by adding the ?-cyclodextrin, thus significantly improving the total dissolution amount of ginsenoside.

    Abstract: A metabonomics-based tobacco leaf mildewing identification method, which comprises: obtaining tobacco leaf samples of the same variety, and carrying out artificial mildewing on a certain amount of tobacco leaf samples to obtain mildewed tobacco leaves; measuring volatile and semi-volatile components in the tobacco leaves before and after the tobacco leaf samples are mildewed by adopting a solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method; performing data processing on the collected mass spectrum data to obtain the proportion content of different types of compounds in the mildewed sample and the normal sample, and further obtaining the change difference of the content of volatile compounds in the tobacco leaf sample before and after mildewing; and establishing a tobacco leaf mildewing identification model according to the discrimination variables. The accuracy and efficiency of tobacco mildew identification can be improved, the quality of tobacco shreds is improved.

For improving the robustness against variations of the background noise, the proposed per-channel divisive normalization method comprises: obtaining an average number of input spikes over an averaging window by a low-pass filter to produce a threshold parameter, then deciding whether to enable an integrate-and fire (IAF) counter counting over a clock period of a divisive normalization module, when the count value of IAF counter reaches the threshold, resetting IAF counter and producing a single spike at the output. Compared with the prior art, the proposed method does not require any Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) and is easier to implement. It also has a simpler structure, higher accuracy and better statistical performance, and a lower cost and a lower power consumption.
