    Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used to support coordinated and cooperative sectorized transmissions. Power control and clear channel assessment for sectorized transmissions may be used, along with sectorized beacon and associated procedures. Transmissions in a network may be protected by a first access point (AP) sending an omni-directional transmission and a beamformed or sectorized transmission to a station (STA), an overlapping basic service set (OBSS) confirming a spatially orthogonal (SO) condition based on the omni-directional transmission, and a second AP monitoring the omni-directional transmission and confirming the SO condition. The STA may be configured to receive a request-to-send (RTS) frame indicating data is available for transmission, and transmit a cooperative sectorized (CS) clear-to-send (CTS) frame indicating an ability for multiple AP reception.

In particular, in an embodiment a base station receives a capability message from a user equipment (UE) indicating downlink scheduling delay. The base station transmits a downlink control frame to the UE in response to determining that transmitting a frame to the UE satisfies a scheduling delay condition. The downlink control frame indicates a scheduling delay of the frame equal to or greater than the downlink scheduling delay. The base station then transmits the frame to the UE in accordance with the downlink control frame.

The UE monitors a radio link quality of WUSs in the set of WUSs and, based thereon, selects a first WUS in the set of WUSs. The UE identifies a first time duration for DCI page monitoring, the first time duration corresponding to the first WUS. The UE monitors the DCI page during the first time duration.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described herein for adapting clear channel assessment (CCA) thresholds with or without Transmit Power Control (TPC) are disclosed. An IEEE 802.11 station (STA) may dynamically calculate a STA specific transmit power control (TPC) value and a STA specific clear channel assessment (CCA) value based on a target TPC parameter and a target CCA parameter. The target TPC parameter and the target CCA parameter may be received from an IEEE 802.11 cluster head configured to control TPC and CCA for a plurality of STAs associated with the BSS. The target TPC parameter and the target CCA parameter also may be related. The STA may then determine whether a carrier sense multiple access (CSMA) wireless medium of a wireless local area network (WLAN) basic service set (BSS) is occupied or idle based on the STA specific CCA value.

In one example, a device's TX and RX antennas satisfy the calibration criteria when a difference between quality parameters corresponding to reference signals transmitted and received using corresponding TX and RX beams is less than a threshold. In another example, a device's TX and RX antennas satisfy the calibration criteria when a list of indices ranking the device's TX beams matches a list of indices ranking the device's RX beams. The lists of indices may be derived by transmitting and receiving references signals according to the devices RX and TX beams, and then generating list of indices based on quality parameters of the respective RX and TX beams.

The RPM is characterized by one or more reduced-power parameters comprising a reduced sampling frequency or a partial signal bandwidth. The UE determines whether to enter into the RPM for a duration. In response to determining to enter into the RPM for the duration, the UE powers down into the RPM by operating with the one or more reduced-power parameters for the duration of the RPM. Upon expiry of the duration of the RPM by the UE, the UE powers up into the NPM by resuming to the sampling frequency of the NPM and the signal bandwidth of the NPM.
