    Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure provide techniques for determining a device's beam correspondence status. As used herein, a device is considered to have “beam correspondence” when the device's TX and RX antennas satisfy a calibration criteria. In one example, a device's TX and RX antennas satisfy the calibration criteria when a difference between quality parameters corresponding to reference signals transmitted and received using corresponding TX and RX beams is less than a threshold. In another example, a device's TX and RX antennas satisfy the calibration criteria when a list of indices ranking the device's TX beams matches a list of indices ranking the device's RX beams. The lists of indices may be derived by transmitting and receiving references signals according to the devices RX and TX beams, and then generating list of indices based on quality parameters of the respective RX and TX beams.

The base station then receives one of the resources from a group of the one or more resources within the BRACH resource assigned to the user equipment corresponding to the BRACH resource, and identifies a preferred beam index of the user equipment based on information in the BRACH resource and the received one of the resources.

Each group of UE TX beam directions may include beam directions that are candidates for uplink data transmission. Based on information in the dynamic UE capability message, the TRP can assign SRS resources (for uplink beam management or uplink channel sounding) and/or schedule a multi-layer MIMO uplink transmission in accordance with a UE capability constraint. This may ensure that the SRS resources assignment and/or scheduled multi-layer MIMO uplink transmission is consistent with the UE's beamforming capabilities.

A station (STA) associated with a first Basic Service Set (BSS) may receive, from an access point (AP) associated with the first BSS, a clear channel assessment (CCA) value for a group of STAs associated with a second BSS. The CCA value may indicate a minimum CCA threshold for a packet received from the second BSS. The STA may then determine, based on the CCA value, a STA specific CCA parameter and a target CCA parameter. The target CCA parameter may be greater than or equal to the STA specific CCA parameter. Based on the STA specific CCA parameter and the target CCA parameter, the STA may determine a target transmit power control (TPC) parameter of the STA, wherein the sum of target TPC parameter and target CCA parameter is constant.

    Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure provide techniques for detecting and recovering from beam-failure events. In some embodiments, motion sensor information generated by motion sensors on a UE is used to detect, predict, and/or recover from a beam failure event that results, or would otherwise result, from movement of the UE. The motion sensor information may be used to adjust a current beam direction used by the UE to transmit or receive a signal, or to determine a recommendation for adjusting a current beam direction of the base station. The motion sensor information may be generated by any sensor that detects a movement of the UE, such as a gyroscope, an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a global positioning system (GPS) sensor, a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) sensor, or any other device that detects a change in position/orientation of the UE.
