Abstract: The invention relates to swing-out scissors having two scissor blades (1, 2) and an actuating lever (4) which, arranged one beside the other, can be swung in and out, in relation to a housing (6), between a storage position and a use position, it being the case that, in the use position, one scissor blade (1) is fixed in relation to the housing (6) and the other scissor blade (2) can be closed by the actuating lever (4), counter to a spring force, via a driver (17), it being the case that a further driver (19) is provided, by means of which the actuating lever (4) and the moveable scissor blade (2) can be brought into operative connection in the use position, with the result that the moveable scissor blade (2) can be moved from the closed position into the open position via the actuating lever (4), the operative connection being interrupted when the scissors are swung in and out.

Abstract: Pocket knife, having at least one side fabricated from a molded plastic material, includes a decorative element, for example a cross, inlaid flush with an outer surface of the side. The decorative element is stamped from a sheet of steel to provide a cross and a square frame which are positioned with respect to each other by two attachments. A greater portion of each attachment is pressed down, by stamping, from a curved first plane occupied by the cross and the frame to a lower second plane under the curved first plane. This greater portion is covered over by the molded plastic material. At least one portion of lateral flanks of the decorative element is disposed at an inclined angle in order to be partially covered over with the molded plastic material. Only one single operation is required for injecting the side of the pocket knife and for inlaying the decorative element in the outer surface of the side of the pocket knife.

Abstract: A holding device for liquid containers to be installed in motor vehicles has a holder adapted to support a liquid container at its circumferential surface, a drip tray for collecting spilled liquid and adapted to be arranged under the liquid container and movably joined to the holder, and a protective housing. The holder and the drip tray are movable between an inner locked position in which the holder and the drip tray are enclosed, nested into one another, in the protective housing, and an outer locked position in which the holder and the drip tray are sufficiently far apart to enable the liquid container to be placed in the holder.

Abstract: A storage device for umbrellas for installation in motor vehicles has a receiving compartment arranged in a vehicle door and an umbrella holder movably connected thereto for receiving an umbrella, the umbrella holder is movable between an inner end position in which it is enclosed in the receiving compartment and an outer end position in which it can be removed from the umbrella holder and inserted therein, a unit for moving the umbrella holder from the inner to the outer end position and formed so that the umbrella holder is moved under the action of a spring from the inner to the outer end position and is held securely in the receiving compartment against the force of the spring by a manual releaseable locking mechanism, and a unit is provided for moving the umbrella from the outer to the inner end position as the vehicle door closes and including a driver member arranged on the umbrella holder and also a stop arranged on the door sill.
