  • Publication number: 20220345269
Abstract: Synchronization signal and Physical Broadcast Channel, SS/PBCH, block management. A network node determines whether a network condition is met, signals to a communication terminal to apply a first detection method for SS/PBCH block detection when the network condition is determined to be met, signals to the communication terminal to apply a second detection method for SS/PBCH block detection when the network condition is determined as not met, and transmits SS/PBCH blocks according to the first or the second SS/PBCH block detection method, based on whether the network condition is met. The communication terminal receives the signalling from the network node associated with the communication network, determines whether the indicated SS/PBCH block detection method is a first or a second SS/PBCH block detection method based on the received signalling, and applies, based on the determination, the first or the second SS/PBCH block detection method for SS/PBCH block detection.

Abstract: Methods and systems for handling transmissions in a serving cell Discovery Burst Transmission (DBT) window are provided. According to one aspect, a method performed at a User Equipment (UE) comprises receiving a configuration indicating a serving cell DBT window, receiving a configuration for UE-initiated Uplink (UL) transmission, and suppressing UE-initiated UL transmissions during at least a portion of the serving cell DBT window. These transmissions may be suppressed for the entire serving cell DBT window or suppressed while a base station is transmitting SSBs according to an intended transmit pattern. The suppression may start from a beginning of the serving cell DBT window or from a beginning of a first SSB transmission detected by the UE. The UE may rate match around actual transmitted SSBs that are transmitted within the serving cell DBT window due to various constraints including restrictions on channel access.

  • Publication number: 20220116064
Abstract: The gain of an amplifier in a receiver operating in a cellular communication system is controlled by determining one or more gain variability metrics, which are then used to produce first and second threshold values. A frequency difference between a current carrier frequency and a target carrier frequency is ascertained and then compared to the threshold values. Target gain setting production is based on comparison results: If the frequency difference is larger than the first threshold, a first automatic gain control algorithm is performed; if the frequency difference is smaller than the first threshold and larger than the second threshold, a second automatic gain control algorithm is performed, wherein the second automatic gain control algorithm uses a current gain setting as a starting point; and if the frequency difference is smaller than both the first and second thresholds, the current gain setting is used as the target gain setting.
