  • Patent number: 12624865
Abstract: Wellbore synthesis techniques are disclosed suitable for use in geothermal applications. Embodiments are provided where open hole drilled wellbores are sealed while drilling in sequenced operations with utilization of phase change materials to form an impervious layer at the wellbore/formation interface in high temperature applications. The techniques may be chemical, thermal, mechanical, biological and are fully intended to irreversibly damage the formation in terms of the permeability thereof. With the permeability negated, the wellbore may be used to create a closed loop surface to surface geothermal well operable in the absence of well casing for heat transfer surfaces for maximizing thermal transfer to a circulating working fluid. Formulations for the working and drilling fluids are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250327836
Abstract: Probes, probe blades, tools for probe blades, blade holders, and probe systems for electrically testing a device under test (DUT). In some examples, the probe blades are configured to provide a Kelvin electrical connection with the DUT. In some examples, the probe blades include an alignment structure configured to engage with a blade holder when the probe blade is received within a blade-receiving region of the blade holder. The blade holders are configured to separably and operatively attach a probe blade to a probe system. In some examples, the blade holders include the probe blade. • Publication number: 20240063344
Abstract: Solid-state lighting devices including light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and a semi-transparent metallic layer deposited on an LED chip that can dim a light output of the LED chip are disclosed. The thickness of the semi-transparent metal layer can be adjusted based on the desired dimming level. In an embodiment, the metallic layer can be deposited on top of a passivation layer over the LED structure, so that the metallic layer is not electrically coupled to the LED. The metallic layer can additionally cover the mesa sidewalls of the LED structure. The metallic layer can be titanium, or platinum, or other suitable metals in other embodiments. In an embodiment, the metallic layer can be deposited on to the passivation layer, where a length of time the metallic layer is deposited, can be based on the amount of dimming desired.

  • Patent number: 11894496
Abstract: A light emitting device includes a LED having a light emitting first surface and a light emitting second surface that define a corner. A support layer is disposed to receive light emitted by the light emitting second surface and is disposed adjacent the corner. A luminophoric medium layer at least partially covers the light emitting first surface and the light emitting second surface where the luminophoric medium layer is at least partially supported by the support layer to prevent a narrowing of the luminophoric medium layer.

  • Patent number: 11251164
Abstract: Light emitting diodes are disclosed that utilize multiple conversion materials in the conversion process in order to achieve the desired emission color point. Different embodiments of the present invention can comprise different phosphor types in separate layers on, above or around one or a plurality of LED chips to achieve the desired light conversion. The LEDs can then emit a desired combination of light from the LED chips and conversion material. In some embodiments, conversion materials can be applied as layers of different phosphor types in order of longest emission wavelength phosphor first, followed by shorter emission phosphors in sequence as opposed to applying in a homogeneously mixed phosphor converter. The conversion material layers can be applied as a blanket over the LED chips and the area surrounding the chip, such as the surface of a submount holding the LED chips.
