  • Patent number: 11278451
Abstract: A computer program product for controlling a laser-assisted eye treatment, configured to encode a system controller with a routine for planning the eye treatment, invention further relates to a laser-assisted eye treatment system including a laser treatment unit and a system controller, to a method for generating control data for a laser-assisted eye treatment system, to a planning method for a laser-assisted eye treatment and to an eye treatment method using a laser beam for treating a patient's eye. The invention provides systems and methods for a fast laser-assisted eye treatment of a patient's eye which improve the security and minimize the risk of a non-optimal eye treatment and enable sale eye treatment planning and a shortening of the critical phase of the eye treatment. Encoding a system controller by a routine for planning the eye treatment is strictly based on an anatomy of a patient's eye.

  • Patent number: 11251164
Abstract: Light emitting diodes are disclosed that utilize multiple conversion materials in the conversion process in order to achieve the desired emission color point. Different embodiments of the present invention can comprise different phosphor types in separate layers on, above or around one or a plurality of LED chips to achieve the desired light conversion. The LEDs can then emit a desired combination of light from the LED chips and conversion material. In some embodiments, conversion materials can be applied as layers of different phosphor types in order of longest emission wavelength phosphor first, followed by shorter emission phosphors in sequence as opposed to applying in a homogeneously mixed phosphor converter. The conversion material layers can be applied as a blanket over the LED chips and the area surrounding the chip, such as the surface of a submount holding the LED chips.

  • Patent number: 11242726
Abstract: Wellbore synthesis techniques are disclosed suitable for use in geothermal applications. Embodiments are provided where open hole drilled wellbores are sealed while drilling to form an impervious layer at the wellbore/formation interface. The techniques may be chemical, thermal, mechanical, biological and are fully intended to irreversibly damage the formation in terms of the permeability thereof. With the permeability negated, the wellbore may be used to create a closed loop surface to surface geothermal well operable in the absence of well casing for maximizing thermal transfer to a circulating working fluid. Formulations for the working and drilling fluids are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210325089
Abstract: Wellbore synthesis techniques are disclosed suitable for use in geothermal applications. Embodiments are provided where open hole drilled wellbores are sealed while drilling in sequenced operations with utilization of phase change materials to form an impervious layer at the wellbore/formation interface in high temperature applications. The techniques may be chemical, thermal, mechanical, biological and are fully intended to irreversibly damage the formation in terms of the permeability thereof. With the permeability negated, the wellbore may be used to create a closed loop surface to surface geothermal well operable in the absence of well casing for heat transfer surfaces for maximizing thermal transfer to a circulating working fluid. Formulations for the working and drilling fluids are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10653557
Abstract: An ophthalmological laser therapy device having a pulsed laser, a positioning system and a control system that produce incisions in a tissue of an eye, in particular for producing corneal access incisions and a corresponding method. The invention produces corneal access incisions having increased leak tightness under external influences. Compressive strength, and complex incision geometries can be realized. An ophthalmological laser therapy device has a control system which is programmed to vary the operating parameters of the laser system and/or of the positioning system on the basis of a local position of the focal volume of a laser beam in the corneal tissue such that the access incision in the corneal tissue is varied and/or interrupted in the width of the access incision. The invention further includes a corresponding computer program product and a method for performing a corneal access incision in a corneal tissue of an eye.
