  • Patent number: 12169256
Abstract: A vehicle sensor calibration system can detect an SDV on a turntable surrounded by a plurality of fiducial targets, and rotate the turntable using a control mechanism to provide the sensor system of the SDV with a sensor view of the plurality of fiducial targets. The vehicle sensor calibration system can receive, over a communication link with the SDV, a data log corresponding to the sensor view from the sensor system of the SDV recorded as the SDV rotates on the turntable. Thereafter, the vehicle sensor calibration system can analyze the sensor data to determine a set of calibration parameters to calibrate the sensor system of the SDV.

  • Patent number: 12161245
Abstract: A reservoir of a liquid heating appliance includes a first chamber and a second chamber, separated by a partition. A heating arrangement is arranged to heat liquid in the first chamber. A first valve, a second valve and a float valve are disposed in the partition to selectively allow liquid to flow between the first and second chambers. Respective lines joining the first and second valves to a center of the partition have an obtuse angular separation. The first and second valves are selectively closed by a valve closure member. The float valve includes a floating valve member arranged to float and mate with a valve seat to prevent the flow of liquid. A liquid outlet in the first chamber connects with a dispense outlet on the appliance to allow liquid to be dispensed when the first and second valves are closed.

  • Patent number: 12132833
Abstract: A vault encryption abstraction framework computing system provides interface functionality to facilitate integration of client applications with vaulting solutions. The vault encryption abstraction framework manages custom authentication and authorization using the vaulting solution application for one or more client applications such as by periodically rotating or renewing any authentication tokens. The vault encryption abstraction framework includes a scheduler to manage timing requirements and to configure the client application to the schedule by setting the renewed token value to an API endpoint (e.g., a function return) and/or a configuration file for access by one or more client applications. This event triggers the client application to update to the latest token value. The vault encryption abstraction framework then triggers the vaulting solution to create and return the new key. The new key is then returned to the client application.

  • Publication number: 20240198602
Abstract: A method of forming a rotor blade includes positioning first dry skin layer(s) in a first mold. The method also includes placing a wedge-shaped core material having a mounting surface atop the first dry skin(s) in the first mold at a trailing edge end of the rotor blade. The method further includes infusing the first dry skin layer(s) and the core material together via a resin material to form a first shell member. The method includes applying an adhesive onto the mounting surface and then placing a second mold with a second shell member arranged therein atop the first mold containing the first shell member to form the rotor blade such that a portion of the second shell member rests atop the mounting surface. Thus, the method includes securing the shell members together via the adhesive, wherein the core material supports the trailing edge end of the rotor blade.

  • Publication number: 20240181724
Abstract: A method for joining rotor blade segments of a rotor blade includes placing a first blade segment in an assembly fixture. The assembly fixture has an outer carrier and at least one bladder arranged with the outer carrier. The first blade segment has an adhesive applied at one or more locations. The method also includes arranging the first blade segment with a second blade segment at at least one joint using the assembly fixture with the adhesive positioned at the at least one joint. Further, the method includes inflating the at least one bladder to provide pressure to the at least one joint, wherein the pressure causes the adhesive to displace between the first and second blade segments at the at least one joint, thereby securing the first and second blade segments together at the at least one joint. Moreover, the method includes maintaining the pressure via the at least one inflated bladder to allow the adhesive to cure, thereby securing the first and second blade segments together.

  • Patent number: 11933296
Abstract: A safety device for an orbital pump has first and second interleaved parts which are operable to follow an orbital path with respect to each other, the safety device comprising: a first member fixable with respect to the first interleaved part; and a second member fixable with respect to the second interleaved part, the second member defining an aperture into which the first member is receivable, the aperture being dimensioned to prevent movement of the first interleaved part with respect to the second interleaved part beyond the orbital path. In this way, the members of the safety device help to prevent the moving components of the pump contacting, thereby preventing damage.

  • Patent number: 11932855
Abstract: Retrotransposons, operating though human-specific neurological pathways, can contribute to environment, lifestyle, and/or age-related neurodegeneration by disrupting functional mitochondrial populations within neurons. The mitochondrial disruption can occur through a number of retrotransposon-induced mechanisms that can influence the efficient and accurate transcription and/or translation of mitochondrial genes encoded in the nuclear genome, operating primarily through epigenetic processes. Alu element-related conformational changes (both subtle and major) of the outer and inner mitochondrial membrane pores can restrict or prevent the normal translocation of proteins (i.e., TOMM and TIMM complexes), ultimately contributing to mitochondrial stress, mitophagy, inflammation, and neuron and glial cell death.
