  • Patent number: 5868155
Abstract: A supply manifold (10) and a transmitter supporting block (11, 11a, 11b) are combined into a pressure transmitter supporting modular unit such that when maintenance or cleaning of the system is to be carried out, the pressure transmitter or transmitters can be removed together with the supporting block (11, 11a, 11b) to keep inlet section of the transmitter(s) protected from mechanical impacts or the like. The supporting block with the transmitter(s) can then be placed back after the servicing, rodding or the like of the system, without the need for time consuming realignment of the elements and without the danger of damaging the pressure transmitter as mentioned above. Three different embodiments of the supporting block (11, 11a, 11b) are described for use in the modular unit of the invention.

  • Patent number: 5709247
Abstract: A valve manifold for use with a pressure sensing apparatus such as a differential pressure transmitter, the manifold being characterized by a simplified passageway system internally of the manifold and by reduced size relative to prior art manifolds, the manifold having valve chambers defining valve seats, each of the valve seats being located within a referenced prison defined by mounting holes having axes which are generally perpendicular to first and second, parallel faces of the manifold.

  • Patent number: 5277224
Abstract: A five valve manifold for use with a pressure sensing apparatus is disclosed. It has an integral body having a first face, a second face, parallel with the first face. A peripheral wall section, spans the distance between the first and second face sections. The distance is smaller than at least one of the width and the length of the second face section. A passage system within said body and includes a plurality of mutually intercommunicating passages extending from one said face to the other. A set of five valves operates selective opening and closing of the passages. The centers of the instrument outlets at one face are suited to new type of "smart" pressure transmitters, while the inlet ports at the other correspond to the usual spacing used in the industry. The invention eliminates the use of a so-called parallel flange used by the manufacturers of pressure transmitters to accommodate the difference in the centers of connecting ports of the instrument from that previously used by the industry.
