  • Patent number: 9376079
Abstract: An automated vision inspection system detects whether a cushion of a side curtain airbag assembly system is twisted. The cushion is provided a plurality of markings arrayed along a longitudinal extent of the cushion. Each marking can be defined by a group of four distinct characters or indicia. Each indicium can be defined by polygonal shaped pixels which allow the inspection system to find clear edges of the marking and thereby determine marking orientation. By determining orientation, the inspection system can compare the inspected marking to a master image of the marking to determine if the cushion is in a twisted state or non-twisted state.

  • Publication number: 20160126943
Abstract: An absorptive switch architecture suitable for use in high frequency RF applications. A switching circuit includes a common terminal and one or more ports, any of which may be selectively coupled to the common terminal by closing an associated path switch; non-selected, unused ports are isolated from the common terminal by opening an associated path switch. Between each path switch and a port are associated shunt switches for selectively coupling an associated signal path to circuit ground. Between each path switch and a port is an associated absorptive switch module. Each absorptive switch module includes a resistor coupled in parallel with a switch. The combination of the resistor and the switch of the absorptive switch module is placed in series with a corresponding signal path from each port to the common terminal, rather than in a shunt configuration.

  • Patent number: 7795968
Abstract: An RF PA operable in two or more selectable power ranges is disclosed. Switches configure the circuit for each range such that an amplifier device corresponding to the range provides final amplification, and all lower power amplifier devices also amplify the signal. An exemplary design includes a low power amplifier configurable for operation solo, or in parallel with a medium power amplifier, to deliver an appropriately matched signal either directly to the RF PA output, or first to the input of a high power amplifier for the highest power range. The signal in all ranges of the exemplary design is conditioned in part by the matching circuitry disposed between the high power amplifier and the RF PA output, which traverses no switches in high power range operation. The entire RF PA, including switches, control and matching circuitry, is fabricated on a single monolithic integrated circuit, an achievement may be facilitated by UTSI CMOS processing.

  • Patent number: 6342812
Abstract: A power amplification system and method for generating low power radio frequency signals. A coupler divides a received signal to be amplified into first and second components. First and second driver stages individually amplify the first and second components. During a low power operation the first and second components of the divided signal are combined in a coupler. In a high power operation, the first and second components are supplied to first and second output amplifiers. The output amplifiers are interconnected so that the amplified signals are combined in the second coupler. The output amplifiers may be output at peak efficiency, using a constant input signal level during the high power mode of operation. During the lower power operation, the driver stages produce the output signal levels.

  • Patent number: 5323064
Abstract: A switchable, dual channel frequency converter is provided. The converter includes a semiconductor body having formed as a monolithic microwave integrated circuit: a pair of input signal channels; a pair of output signal channels; and, a mixer and multiplexer means, disposed between the pair of input signal channels and the pair of output signal channels, for converting the frequency of signals fed to the pair of input signal channels to a different frequency and for directing the frequency converted signals to the pair of output signal channels selectively in accordance with a control signal. The mixer and multiplexer means includes: a pair of mixers coupled to the pair of input signal channels and a common local oscillator signal; and a multiplexer network. The mixers covert the radio frequency of the signals in the pair of input signal channels into a corresponding pair of intermediate frequency signal channels.

  • Patent number: 4864250
Abstract: A distributed amplifier having an on chip DC biasing network including a spiral inductor. The spiral inductor has a low resistance for providing a minimal resistance path for the DC biasing, while also having a high inductance for isolating the RF signal from the DC bias sources. Additionally, an inductive lead connected between the spiral inductor and the amplifier has a predetermined inductance such that this inductance is matched with the inherent capacitance of the spiral inductor in order to provide a substantially same impedance as that of the amplifying stages.
