  • Publication number: 20230333176
Abstract: A method for detecting a leakage current path in a circuit is presented. The method may be used for identifying a leakage current path in an analog circuit and induced by the presence of a high voltage. The method includes several steps. A circuit design description of the circuit is received. The circuit design description is then interrogated to identify a set of candidate components having a first terminal coupled to a voltage source adapted to provide a voltage above a predefined value. Then for each electronic component in the set, a second terminal coupled to ground is searched. Upon identification of the second terminal coupled to ground a leakage path is reported. The method may be used for identifying a leakage current path induced by the presence of a high voltage in conjunction with the presence of parasitic devices.

  • Patent number: 11126772
Abstract: A method to provide an automated circuit design tool that mitigates or overcomes the inefficiencies present in the prior art tools ensuring a more efficient use of computer resources and a reduction in the time taken to design a suitable circuit that meets the design specification is presented. The computer-implemented method of designing a circuit configuration of a circuit, has the following steps 1) providing a first set of circuit configurations comprising one or more circuit configurations, 2) simulating each, circuit configuration of the first set of circuit configurations. In addition, the steps include: 3) scoring each, circuit configuration of the first set of circuit configurations based on a design specification and the simulation, or simulations, of step 2), and 4) providing a second set of circuit configurations comprising one or more circuit configurations that are dependent on the scores as determined in step 3).

  • Patent number: 9051585
Abstract: Process for producing C2+ alcohols from a methane-containing feedstock, by passing the methane-containing feedstock and CO2 to a non-oxidative reforming process to produce a product stream containing CO, H2 and CO2, optionally in the presence of steam, provided that where steam is present in the feed to the reforming process, the steam and CO2 are present in a molar ratio of less than 5:1. The CO, H2 and CO2 stream is passed to a bacterial fermentation step where it is converted to a liquid product stream containing one or more C2+ alcohols and a gaseous product stream containing CO, H2 and CO2. The fermentation step is operated to provide a conversion of CO of at least 60%. CO, H2 and CO2 are recycled from the gaseous product stream to the reforming process such that the H2 reacts with carbon dioxide in the reforming process.

  • Publication number: 20120256131
Abstract: A process is provided for producing syngas that is effective for use in downstream processes. The process for producing syngas includes operating a gasification apparatus in a start-up mode until the gasification apparatus and equipment downstream of the gasification apparatus are adequately warmed up to a first target temperature. Upon reaching a first target temperature, the process is then operated in a production mode to produce a second syngas with a higher CO/CO2 molar ratio. Operation in a start-up mode until reaching a first target temperature, provides a process that is effective for reducing fouling in downstream equipment and for providing a second syngas can be more effectively cooled and cleaned.

  • Publication number: 20060065582
Abstract: The present invention is a portable oil filtering apparatus that can operate independent of external power sources to collect oil from cookers or fryers for disposal or storage and filter oil from the cookers or fryers for re-use. The oil filtering apparatus of the preferred embodiment is able to safely collect and dispose of oil using a sealed container. The oil filtering apparatus of the preferred embodiment is also able to filter oil to remove particulate matter and other contaminants and reintroduce the filtered oil to a cooker and fryer thereby extending the operational life of the oil. In this way the preferred embodiment of the oil filtering apparatus is able to recycle oil from cookers and fryers and thereby save money and reduce the amount of waste oil released into the environment.
