Patent number: 9204062Abstract: A thermal imaging camera may be used to capture a visible-light (VL) image and an infrared (IR) image. In some examples, the camera includes a range imaging camera module that captures the VL and an infrared camera module that captures the IR image. In such examples, the VL image may include a plurality of different portions that each correspond to a different portion of the scene and distance-to-target data associated with each of the different portions of the scene. The camera may align each of the plurality of different portions of the VL image based on the distance-to-target data associated with corresponding portions of the scene so as to correct a parallax error between the VL image and the IR image. The camera may then concurrently display the VL image in alignment with the IR image.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2011Date of Patent: December 1, 2015Assignee: Fluke CorporationInventors: Peter A. Publication number: 20150269742Abstract: The invention relates generally to edge detection and presentation in thermal images. Infrared and visible light images comprising at least partially overlapping target scenes are analyzed. An edge detection process is performed on the visible light image to determine which pixels represent edges in the target scene. A display image is generated in which some pixels include infrared image data and in which pixels corresponding to edges in the visible light image include a predetermined color and do not include corresponding infrared image data to emphasize edges. Edge pixels in the display image can include exclusively the predetermined color, or in some examples, a blend of a predetermined color and visible light image data. Methods can include replacing one or the other of visible light edge pixels or corresponding infrared pixels with the predetermined color before combining the visible light and infrared image data to create a display image.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2014Publication date: September 24, 2015Inventors: Peter A. Publication number: 20150242938Abstract: Embodiments provide a computer-executed method, a computer system and computer program product for initiating a command. The method includes causing a consumer input definition interface to be displayed on a visual display of a computing device associated with a consumer, wherein the consumer input definition interface includes an indication of a command. The method also includes, while the consumer input definition interface is displayed, receiving input definition data defining a consumer interaction by the consumer. The method also includes generating a compound consumer input based on the input definition data, and associating the compound consumer input with the command and the consumer. The method further includes storing the association between the compound consumer input and the command on a non-transitory storage device so that receipt of the compound consumer input from the consumer automatically initiates the command.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2015Publication date: August 27, 2015Inventors: Sri Viswanath, Eric Hyche, Mihir Shah, Peter Bergstrom, Michael Burton, Dor Levi, Fabio Sisinni, Don Albert Chennavasin, Marius G. Publication number: 20130124136Abstract: Systems and techniques for obtaining and maintaining maintenance records for various assets are described. In one embodiment, a computing device may be wirelessly coupled to a measurement device when the computing device is placed in proximity with the computing device. Upon measuring one or more parameters of a device under test (DUT), the measurement device may provide the measured parameters to the computing device in the form of measurement data. In some embodiments, the computing device associates the measured parameters with the corresponding DUT from which the measurements were obtained and provides the associated measured parameter to, for example, a service provider for future access. In another embodiment, the measurement device itself is configured to associate the measurement parameters with the DUT and provide the associated measurement parameters to the service provider.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2012Publication date: May 16, 2013Applicant: FLUKE CORPORATIONInventors: John Neeley, Jordan Schlichting, Thomas McManus, Peter Bergstrom, Lindsey Berdan, Joseph V.
