  • Publication number: 20020143705
Abstract: A business model is provided for the delivery of complete service to users. A content provider and a software provider cooperate to deliver a content information and the proper software element that would enable to play-out or render the content information. • Patent number: 6438812
Abstract: Apparatus for intermingling multifilament yarns, having an intermingling assembly with a thread channel (3; 11), and at least one blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) opening into the thread channel (3; 11), and capable of receiving compressed air, wherein the cross-section of each blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) increases in the direction of the thread channel (3; 11) and the thread channel (3; 11) for each blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) has a first segment (3′) before the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), a second segment (3″) in the area of the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), and a third segment (3′″) after the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), whereby the second segment (3″) of the thread channel has larger cross-sectional areas than those of the first and third segments.

  • Publication number: 20020059384
Abstract: A service on a data network verifies if an attachment to a sender's e-mail has a copy of an electronic document available from a source on the data network If the document is available from this source, the service strips the attachment from the e-mail body and replaces it with a URL to save bandwidth and storage space.

  • Publication number: 20010009969
Abstract: A method for safely treating and disposing of infectious biomedical waste and other hazardous materials is disclosed. The method involves alkaline hydrolysis of infectious agents contained in regulated medical waste or hazardous waste solutions. The infectious waste is immersed into a highly basic solvent which is then heated. The material containing the infectious agents is allowed to remain within the heated solvent until the hydrolyzable matter is fully digested, thereby forming a sterile solution and sterile solid waste. The sterile solution and solid waste may then be disposed of through standard means, such as in a sanitary sewage system or local landfill facility. The method also provides for the treatment of lipid soluble hazardous material contained in the regulated medical waste.

  • Patent number: 6238639
Abstract: Nitrosylsulphuric acid is mixed in a mixing reactor with sulphuric acid saturated with SO2. The acid mixture is led into a saturating reactor into the bottom region of which water and an SO2-containing gas are introduced. The gas partially serves as stripping gas inside the saturating reactor. SO2-saturated, Nox-free sulphuric acid with 5 to 60 wt % H2SO4 is removed from the bottom region of the saturating reactor and part thereof is mixed with nitrosylsulphuric acid in the mixing reactor.

  • Patent number: 6224429
Abstract: A synthetic plastic terminal block assembly includes a housing containing a longitudinal through passage in which is mounted a unitary fastening member having a center portion that is connected with the housing, and a pair of end portions resiliently connected for independent displacement relative to the center portion and to the housing, the end portions having opposed inwardly-directed hook-shaped foot portions adapted to extend under the outwardly extending flanges at the upper ends of the legs of a U-shaped mounting rail, thereby to fasten the terminal block to the rail. With this extremely simple design, the terminal block can be mounted downwardly upon the rail from above. The terminal block can be easily disconnected from the rail at either side, and if necessary, the terminal block can be pivoted laterally away from the rail.

  • Patent number: 3968726
Abstract: A cartridge receiving drum construction for providing gas-tight closure of a separation interstice between a gun barrel and cartridge receiving drum which is rotatably mounted in a housing of the gun adjacent the loading end of the barrel, comprising a drum having a plurality of through bores defining projectile guideways for receiving a cartridge which are alignable with the gun barrel. The end of the drum adjacent the gun barrel defines a front surface with a circular groove therein concentrically arranged around each projectile guideway. An elastic seal capable of withstanding a very high temperature is arranged in the groove and a plurality of relatively small diameter bores extend inwardly from the inner end of the groove and are connected laterally into a similar small diameter bore into the guideway at a spaced location from the front face of the drum barrel.
