Abstract: A decorative container is adapted for receiving and storing a plumbing plunger in a generally upright position. The decorative container includes a base which has a bottom wall and a sidewall. The sidewall extends upwardly from the bottom wall by a predetermined distance and extends around a perimeter of the bottom wall. The sidewall has a supporting lip which extends around a perimeter of the sidewall. A first part of the sidewall of the base proximate to the supporting lip has a first slot extending through the sidewall. The supporting lip extends over the first slot and at least partially conceals the first slot from being externally viewed. The container also includes a cover which has a lower end and a sidewall and which is releasably positioned on the supporting lip. The lower end of the cover member surrounds the sidewall of the base. A plumbing plunger is removably stored within the decorative container.

Abstract: A needle assembly having a single-handedly activatable needle barrier includes a needle cannula having a proximal end, a distal end and a lumen therethrough connected to a needle hub having an interior cavity in fluid communication with the needle cannula. A guide element is connected to the needle hub and includes an aperture therethrough. An elongate barrier arm having a proximal end and a distal end is provided. The distal end of the barrier arm includes a barrier element having a needle passageway therethrough. The barrier arm is positioned within the aperture of the guide element and the needle cannula is positioned at least partially within the needle passageway of the barrier element.
