  • Patent number: 9734587
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can track an object from a first image frame to a second image frame using a self-correcting tracking method. The computing device can select points of interest in the first image frame. The computing device can track the selected points of interest from the first image frame to the second image frame using optical flow object tracking. The computing device can prune the matching pairs of points and generate a transform based on the remaining matching pairs to detect the selected object in the second image frame. The computing device can generate a tracking confidence metric based on a projection error for each point of interest tracked from the first frame to the second frame. The computing device can correct tracking errors by reacquiring the object when the tracking confidence metric is below a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9477678
Abstract: Data synchronization management methods and systems for use in an electronic device are provided. First, activity log containing information regarding activities of friends of a user in an application within a specific period of time is acquired from a network application server via a network. Next, the activity log is analyzed to determine a frequency of activities of the application in each of time segments of a day. A sync frequency of a data sync procedure for each of the time segments is determined or adjusted according to the frequency of activities of the application in each of the time segments. The data sync procedure is performed with the network application server to update data from the server based on the sync frequency in each of the time segments.

  • Patent number: 9412414
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that receives the addition of a video clip having a first set of spatial properties to a composite video project having a second set of spatial properties. When the first set of spatial properties and the second set of spatial properties are different, the method automatically applies a spatial conform effect to the video clip to conform images of the video clip to the second set of spatial properties. The method receives input to transform images of the video clip as displayed in the composite video project. The method stores the spatial conform effect and the received transform as separate effects for the video clip.

  • Publication number: 20150004633
Abstract: Provided are methods for diagnosing ovarian cancer or assessing the risk of developing ovarian cancer in a subject by measuring, in a biological sample from the subject, the amount of IL-6 and comparing the amount of IL-6 measured to a predetermined IL-6 cutoff value. Also provided are methods that further include measuring, in the biological sample, the amount of two or more biomarkers selected from the group consisting of transthyretin, apolipoprotein A1, transferrin, ?-2 microglobulin, and CA 125 II. The amount of IL-6 and biomarkers are useful in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, and individuals can be identified as having ovarian cancer when the amount of IL-6 is greater than the IL-6 cutoff value and/or the biomarker score is greater than the biomarker score cutoff value.

  • Patent number: 8839110
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that receives the addition of a video clip to a composite video project. The video clip has a sequence of video images at a first frame rate and the composite video project has a second frame rate for outputting video images. When the first frame rate does not match the second frame rate but is within a threshold of the second frame rate, the method generates output video images for a particular duration of the composite video project at the second frame rate by using each of the video images of the video clip once during the particular duration. When the first frame rate is not within the threshold, generating output video images for the particular duration of the composite video project at the second frame rate by using at least one of the video images for each output video image over the particular duration.
