    Abstract: An open roof system for a vehicle comprises at least first and second movable elements, each movable between a retracted and a deployed position. At least two drive cable assemblies transfer the motor torque to said movable elements. The drive cable assemblies comprise a flexible first part having first and second ends, the first part being driven by a motor. The first end portion of the flexible first part connects to one of the first and secondmovable elements, and a first guiding channel guides the second end.
