  • Publication number: 20240224852
Abstract: A portable tool having an upright starting orientation in which the portable tool has a top and bottom, a front and rear, and laterally spaced sides. The portable tool has an elongate frame and is configured to be held with the user engaging: a) a first back region of the portable tool with one of the user's hands; and b) a second region of the portable tool forward of the first back region with the user's other hand to thereby allow the user to elevate and reposition the portable tool. A drive operates a working unit on the frame. The first back region and second region are spaced along a front-to-rear first line. A gripping assembly at the second region of the portable tool has an elongate gripping length extending in a second line. A first vertical plane parallel to the first line is non-orthogonal to a second vertical plane parallel to the second line. The elongate gripping length can be moved selectively forwardly and rearwardly relative to the frame.

  • Patent number: 12028793
Abstract: Systems/Methods are disclosed of establishing a capability at a smartphone to be able to conduct a financial transaction and then using the established capability in performing the financial transaction by paying for a product. According to some embodiments, said establishing is performed responsive to sensing a physiological parameter and determining that the physiological parameter sensed satisfies a criterion. Then, an authorization to establish said capability is requested and, responsive to receiving the authorization, the capability to be able to conduct the financial transaction is established at the smartphone. The capability that has been established may then be used in performing the financial transaction responsive to the smartphone sensing proximity to an access point maintained by a vendor and responsive to the physiological parameter being sensed and satisfying the criterion.

  • Publication number: 20240192764
Abstract: A computer system displays a first view of a three-dimensional environment, including a first and second user interface objects at distinct first and second positions. While displaying the first view, the computer system detects a first gaze input directed to a first region in the three-dimensional environment corresponding to the first position. While detecting the first gaze input, the computer system detects first movement of a hand meeting first gesture criteria. In accordance with a determination that the first movement is detected after the first gaze input meets first gaze criteria requiring the gaze to be held at the first region for at least a first preset extended amount of time, the computer system selects the first user interface object; and in accordance with a determination that the first movement is detected before the gaze meeting the first gaze criteria, the computer system forgoes selecting the first user interface object.
