  • Publication number: 20050153080
Abstract: A process for forming linear, thermoplastic weatherseals into a bend position is provided which avoids buckling of the thinner surfaces of the weatherseal material. The process involves the use of a support insert which supports the thinner surfaces during the bending operation, and thus assists in preventing the deformation of the thinner weatherseal surfaces. The support is preferable constructed of a material which is unaffected by temperatures higher than the heat-deformation temperature used to set the weatherseal material into a bent configuration, and thus, the support insert retains its linear shape when removed from the bending press, and therefore, can be reused. An improved process for manufacturing bent thermoplastic weatherseal material results.

  • Publication number: 20050130735
Abstract: A closed loop totalisator wagering network implements cashless wagering. The wagering network operates with multiple mode electronic betting cards that are accepted in the wagering network and at third party financial networks outside the wagering network. The wagering network frees the patron from the time consuming and error prone administrative drudgery associated with keep track of totalisator tickets and other wagering indicia. Patrons need not expend resources to ensure that a ticket does not get lost or destroyed, or expend resources to redeem a winning ticket either personally or by mail. Patrons may instead enjoy and concentrate on the wagering events, with the knowledge that the wagering system automatically maintains their account balances based on the result of wagering events.

  • Publication number: 20030124150
Abstract: The present invention relates to kits, and aspects thereof, for reducing or eliminating the aching associated with the administration of multiple doses of a PDE5 inhibitor, the kits comprising a plurality of pharmaceutical compositions for sequential administration over a period of time which compositions comprise increasing amounts of PDE5 inhibitor starting with an amount which gives a sub-optimal response and ending with an amount which gives an optimal response.

  • Patent number: 6578909
Abstract: A vehicle roof structure including a front header, a pillar support member, a side roof rail, and a roof rail outer front member. The front header has a substantially box-shaped cross-section. The pillar support member has an elongated member extending between a windshield opening and a door opening, a short first member at one end of the elongated member extending along the windshield opening, and a short second member at the end extending along the door opening. The first member includes a first edge adjoining an end of the front header. The side roof rail has a substantially box-shaped cross-section and adjoins a second edge of the pillar support second member. The roof rail outer front member is affixed to the pillar support member. The roof rail outer front member adjoins the end of the front header in a region of the first edge, adjoins the side roof rail in a region of the second edge, and extends along at least a portion of the elongated member of the pillar support member.
