  • Publication number: 20070238956
Abstract: An imaging device is disclosed for preparing sequential slice images of an object. The device includes a radiation source, a detector, a positioning unit and a control unit for controlling the positioning unit and for evaluating the recorded data of the detector. The control unit is set up for carrying out a first contrast agent measurement at a distal position, determining parameters of the contrast agent propagation from the first contrast agent measurement, carrying out a second contrast agent measurement at a proximal position, calculating operating parameters by taking account of the parameters of the contrast agent propagation, and driving the positioning unit in order to record the slice images with the aid of the calculated operating parameters in a fashion triggered by the second contrast agent measurement. A corresponding method for operating the imaging device is also specified.

  • Publication number: 20060220900
Abstract: A method for remote programming of a program-controlled device, and a system having an interface to receive program data and a legitimization, as well as a remotely programmable, program-controlled device, which includes a processor and a program memory, are provided. In the method, program data are remotely transmitted from a control station to the interface and buffer-stored there in a buffer store. Subsequently, a legitimization is transmitted from the control station to the interface, and from there to the program-controlled device. The device checks the legitimization and imports the program data from the buffer store if the legitimization check is positive.

  • Publication number: 20060015522
Abstract: A method for providing a planning framework for use in managing a material flow of products in a supply chain. According to the method, subsequent instances of said material flow are associated with linked documents in a document flow. In a prior document, first relations are established identifying one or more dependent documents, for producing one or more products in a next instance of said material flow. Said prior document is converted into said next document in a forward way. According to the invention, the method comprises establishing in said next document the first relations identifying said one or more dependent documents, so as to convert said next document into said prior document in a reverse way. In this way, fixed relations can be preserved between product requirements and products while changing the material flow.

  • Publication number: 20020002504
Abstract: A mobile shopping assistant coupled to a global positioning system and a global computer network facilitating a potential consumer's purchasing decision. A mobile shopping assistant comprising an optical scanner and a global positioning system scans a bar code of a product. The information from the bar code along with location information of the mobile shopping assistant is transmitted to a global computer network such as the internet. Based upon the information provided, a price and discount server transmits back to the mobile shopping assistant pricing and location information about similar products. The potential consumer may then use this information to make a purchasing decision and to obtain the best value. The potential consumer saves considerable time in making a purchasing decision. Additionally, the potential consumer may save money, obtain a better value, or obtain the product more quickly based on the information provided.

  • Patent number: 5907830
Abstract: An electronic coupon distribution system providing on-line coupon information for a potential consumer using a personal computer connected to a host computer. A potential consumer using a personal computer and a modem connects to a host computer via the Internet or directly. The potential consumer may specify product preferences or search and view coupons of interest to the consumer. The consumer may then download from the host computer coupon information that may be printed on the potential consumer's printer connected to his personal computer. Information identifying the downloaded coupon is coded or encrypted onto the printed coupon to prevent unauthorized reproduction. The coupon distribution system may be used to obtain additional information about the potential consumer for future marketing purposes. The present invention greatly facilitates and makes economical distribution of coupons or certificates.

  • Patent number: 4912772
Abstract: In a circuit package having a connector for connecting a pin array circuit module and a printed circuit board, the connector is a molded plastic planar member with a plurality of openings extending through the member. In each opening, the member has two integral and spaced first and second parts having respectively oppositely aligned faces for receiving therebetween one of the pins. At least one of the parts resiliently extends across the opening, and at least one of the faces is a contact surface which mates with a pin of the module. A conductive layer with a predetermined circuit pattern is disposed on the member and includes conductors which extend from the contact surface to terminals disposed on the bottom surface of the member. The terminals are mateable with the input/output pads of the board. The member is disposed between the board and the module to provide the connection between the module and the board with the terminals of the member and the pads of the board being in contacting relationship.
