  • Patent number: 6256737
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product that utilizes biometric measurements for the authentication of users to enterprise resources. The system includes a biometric server that stores the engine and collections of data required by the system to authenticate users. In the present invention, it is the biometric policies that determine the way or method in which a user is to be authenticated by the system. The execution of the biometric policies involves the use of one or more biometric templates. Biometric devices utilize a scientific technique to identify a user based on compared measurements of unique personal characteristics. These measurements, called biometric measurements, may include, but are not limited to, measurements of finger and hand geometry, retina and facial images, weight, DNA data, breath, voice, typing stroke and signature. The biometric policies of the present invention provide flexibility to the level of protection for individual enterprise resources.

  • Patent number: 5725212
Abstract: A selector apparatus is disclosed herein for randomly selecting a predetermined quantity of numbered spheres or balls which includes a cylindrical housing having an internal storage compartment occupied by the numbered spheres in a liquid solution such as oil. The compartment is connected to a display chamber by a funnel whereby the numbered spheres are introduced to the display chamber in a randomly selected order. At least the display chamber is defined by a transparent window permitting visual observation of the selected spheres. The storage compartment is of greater area than the display chamber and a support base or chain device may support the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4069904
Abstract: A hydraulic release mechanism for automotive clutches and the like comprising a housing and a bearing assembly. The assembly comprises a non-rotating race ring, a rotatable race ring adapted to be connected to an operating element for said clutch and a plurality of rolling elements arranged therebetween. The bearing assembly is mounted with respect to the housing for axially slidable movement and radially floating movement. The housing under pressure, the force of which is transmitted through the end of the non-rotating race ring, the rolling elements, and the rotating race ring to the clutch operating element. Preferably, the means for mounting the bearing assembly with respect to said housing comprises a flexible bellows.

  • Patent number: 3970177
Abstract: A hydraulic release mechanism for automobile clutches comprising a housing open at one end and a bearing. The bearing comprises a rotating race ring adapted to be connected to the operating member of the clutch, a non-rotating race ring and a plurality of rolling elements located therebetween. The non-rotating race ring is slidably arranged with respect to the housing, and seal means is arranged between the housing and the axial frontal end of the non-rotating race ring to enclose space between the sliding surfaces while permitting the race ring to move on introduction of pressurized fluid into the housing.
