  • Patent number: 11713208
Abstract: A process includes coding or marking a first side of a ream of paper such that a first mark appears on an edge of each sheet of paper of the ream of paper. This coding or marking results in the first mark absorbing onto a top surface and a bottom surface of each sheet of paper of the ream of paper. The coding or marking can either convey information or serve a function such as assisting in folding a sheet of paper.

  • Patent number: 11370943
Abstract: An adhesive tape with a backing layer is longitudinally folded upon itself, creating an approximately 180-degree angle at each of two ends of the tape, and a first longitudinal section of multiple layers of the adhesive tape and a second longitudinal section of multiple layers of the adhesive tape such that the first section is positioned above and parallel to the second section. The folding does not crease the tape at either end of the tape. The first longitudinal section and second longitudinal section are maintained in contact or close proximity via a piece of tape, clip, rubber band, or other means, such that the adhesive tape is maintained in a flat profile. The adhesive tape in its flat profile can then be easily inserted into a United States first class letter-sized mailing envelope.

  • Patent number: 10780820
Abstract: A vehicle door pillar light assembly for illuminating a vehicle door and a method of warning drivers of vehicles, having a vehicle door frame defining an opening for entering and exiting a vehicle, a door hingedly connected to the frame and moveable between open and closed positions, and a device for detecting whether the door is open or closed. The assembly further includes a light mounted within the door frame which is electrically connected to the device for detecting whether the door is open or closed. The light is illuminated when the door is opened and unilluminated when the door is closed. When the light source is positioned on the rear of the door frame, it illuminates the vehicle door and objects disposed between the light source and the, when the door is in the open positions, in order to increase the conspicuity of the opened door.

  • Publication number: 20180195898
Abstract: The invention relates to a radiation source including: an illuminant; a first optical element; and a sensor. The sensor is designed appropriately and is connected to the first optical element appropriately such that the sensor can be used to determine a change of a parameter of the first optical element over time, whereby the parameter affects an optical property of the radiation source. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for the producing a product involving the provision of a radiation source according to the invention as well as to a use of the radiation source to increase the efficiency of conversions or changes of state of educts to products.

  • Patent number: 9618027
Abstract: A fastener for insertion into aligned openings in articles and method of use, the fastener having a head having a width greater than a width of the opening, a neck having a width less than the width of the opening, a resilient shank having a width greater than the width of the opening. The shank having a tapered end and a U-shaped channel, to define a line of weakness to permit the shank to articulate between a normal position where the shank has a width greater than the width of the opening and an insertion position where the shank is bent to have a width less than the width of the opening. The shank resiliently returns to its normal position once pushed in and through the opening with the neck received within the opening, locking the fastener within the opening.

  • Patent number: 7912898
Abstract: A system and method is provided for enabling respondents at their computer systems to connect via a browser with a server computer over a network, such as the Internet, and receive an initial set of survey questions on one or more pages during which primary images are downloaded into the browser's cache but are not presented to each respondent as they are each displayed into a small (e.g. 1 by 1) pixel area on display of the respondent's computer system and thus are not detectable by respondents. After receiving answers to such questions for each of the respondents, the server computer directs the browser of each respondent computer with at least one survey question in which the primary image is displayed from the browser's cache for a brief interval of time to the respondent, and the respondent answers the question with respect to the primary image. Different survey questions may be presented to the respondent having different timed displayed primary images.
