  • Publication number: 20100058206
Abstract: A computer-implemented method may include receiving a first input selection from a user made while in a page of an application, providing an indication to the user of one or more views on the page of the application that are user configurable, in response to receiving the first input selection, receiving a second input selection from the user of one of the views, and instantiating a user interface (UI) configuration tool to enable the user to configure the selected view, in response to receiving the second input selection.

  • Patent number: 7551404
Abstract: A disk drive suspension has a mount plate, an outwardly tapered load beam supported by the mount plate and having a base portion, a hinge portion, a beam portion having a first face with turned edges and a flexure supported by the beam portion distally of said beam portion face, and a generally congruent tapered stiffener having a central portion of a given height that is concave and open to the beam portion. The stiffener has left and right flange portions extending laterally from the central portion to the beam portion upturned edges to locate said central portion centrally on the beam portion face.

  • Patent number: 7532438
Abstract: A wireless disk drive suspension and method of manufacture in which curvilinear deflections of the plastic film and conductive traces relative to the flexure metal layer provide for containment of the strains accompanying pitch and roll adjustment of the flexure and allow adjustment free of adjusting difficulties and spring back compromise of the adjustment. The curvilinear deflection of the laminate toward the flexure central longitudinal axis and an accompanying bringing in of the flexure frame struts provides a less wide flexure that can more closely approach a disk drive hub for greater capacity in a disk drive.

  • Patent number: 6297928
Abstract: A mounting assembly for securing a disk drive to a frame of a computer is provided herein. The mounting assembly includes three rigid mounts and a single flexible mount. Each rigid mount rigidly secures the drive housing to the frame and prevents degradation of performance of the disk drive. The flexible mount diminishes the level of vibration transferred from the frame to drive housing. Further, the flexible mount facilitates flexing of the drive housing intermediate the flexible mount and the rigid mounts. This reduces the effects of a shock pulse to the disk drive and inhibits head slap between a transducer head and a storage disk.

  • Patent number: 5735735
Abstract: In a method for automatically gutting fish of the catfish species, the belly cavity is opened around the anal orifice either before or after opening the gills by severing the gullet and opening the blood stream, and the contents of the belly cavity are removed by pushing these from one of the openings of the cavity out of the other. In a machine for carrying out this method, the fish are conveyed sideways by a recessed conveyor. The belly cavity is opened in the vicinity of the anus by separating away the cartilaginous plate carrying the ventral fins. The contents of the ventral cavity are removed by a rotary body rotating synchronously with the conveyor and having tools successively arranged in a cantilevered helix around its circumference which comprise a clearing tool with scraping segments, a brush tool, a high-pressure spray device and a cutting tool for slitting open the belly cavity along its length.

  • Patent number: 4954189
Abstract: Silicon wafers and a process for the production thereof which produces was having intrinsic gettering action and on which thin oxide layers with high breakdown strength can be produced. During the production, the wafers are subjected to a treatment which smooths the wafer surface, for example, by repolishing, after the intrinsic getters have been produced in the interior of the wafer. Oxide layers subsequently deposited are outstanding for an increased breakdown strength compared with untreated wafers.

  • Patent number: 4120676
Abstract: A machine for forming mineral fibers into mats or blankets comprising a plurality of modules each including primary fiber formers, fiber attenuation means, binder applicators, and fiber collectors to produce continuous lengths of mat. A common conveyor is adapted to receive the mats of each module at spaced mat receiving stations along its length. The common conveyor receives the uncured mats in juxtaposition to each other and conveys them to stations for further processing. Each module is adapted to operate and be taken off or put on line without disruption of the operation of the other modules. Each includes a scrap conveyor for primary fibers, a fiber collection conveyor cleaning means for the conveyor and a suction box all of which are shielded from the common conveyor to avoid contamination of the mat on the common conveyor.
