Publication number: 20260001632Abstract: Example systems and methods are provided herein for controlling a wake behind a watercraft. Such systems include a ballast system, an actuator, and a sensor for determining a pitch, roll, and/or yaw of the watercraft. A processor is configured to determine or receive a desired orientation of the watercraft based on producing a desired wake behind the watercraft, determine a current orientation of the watercraft relative to a water level of the body of water based on sensor data received from the sensor, determine instructions to send to at least one of the ballast system or the actuator based on the current orientation of the watercraft and the desired orientation of the watercraft, and cause adjustment of the ballast system or the actuator according to the instructions such that the watercraft achieves the desired orientation so that the desired wake is produced by the watercraft.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2024Publication date: January 1, 2026Inventors: Philip EADIE, David M. Publication number: 20170310953Abstract: A method of determining the 3D positions of points on the surface of an object, the method comprising obtaining an images of an object from a first view point and from a second view point, fixed relative to the viewpoint of the first view point wherein the images comprise a matrix of pixels, each of the pixels having an associated pixel value, processing the images by determining for pixels in a generated image weighted averages of the pixel values of a pixel and adjacent pixels, identifying corresponding portions of an object from a first view point and from a second view point on the basis of the weighted average values of pixels, and determining 3D positions of points corresponding to the corresponding portions of images.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2017Publication date: October 26, 2017Inventors: Peter HANSON, Gideon HALE

Patent number: 9736465Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a 3D camera system for a patient positioning and monitoring system is described. In the system a pair of image detectors are provided where the image detectors are each associated with a heater thermally connected to conducting pads provided at the periphery of the image detectors. The heaters and conducting pads act to contain the image detectors in a substantially constant temperature micro climate thereby preventing external temperature variations from causing the relative positions of the image detectors to change so as to record portions of images as different pixels and hence reduce the consistency with which the identification of matching portions of images obtained by the image detectors can be utilized to determine the 3D positions of imaged objects.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2013Date of Patent: August 15, 2017Assignee: VISION RT LIMITEDInventors: Peter Hanson, Gideon Hale

Patent number: 8362086Abstract: The application relates to long acting injectable (LAI) formulations for combating ectoparasites and endoparasites in mammals. In particular, this invention provides for a LAI formulation comprising a subcutaneously volatile solvent, a biologically acceptable polymer, a bioactive agents and optionally one or more anti-ectoparasitically or anti-endoparasitically acceptable additive or excipient. Surprisingly, the liquid long acting injectable formulations of the invention solve the problems associates with previous injectable formulations by having long term stability, being able to accommodate smaller needle diameters and achieving long acting effects in the control of pests in a mammal. The unique formulations of the invention also allow for combating ectoparasites and endoparasites which have become resistant to macrolide antibiotics.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2005Date of Patent: January 29, 2013Assignee: Merial LimitedInventors: Mark D. Patent number: 7496340Abstract: A system and method are provided for calibrating for an I/Q mismatch of a direct conversion receiver based on a random signal having a two-dimensional I versus Q trajectory, such as radio frequency (RF) noise. In general, the random signal is received and downconverted to a quadrature baseband signal having an in-phase component and a quadrature component. The variance of the in-phase component, the variance of the quadrature component, and the covariance of the in-phase component with the quadrature component are computed based on samples of the quadrature baseband signal. A correction matrix used to compensate for the I/Q mismatch of the receiver and/or I/Q mismatch including a gain mismatch and a phase mismatch of the receiver is then computed based on the variance of the in-phase component, the variance of the quadrature component, and the covariance of the in-phase component with the quadrature component.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2005Date of Patent: February 24, 2009Assignee: RF Micro Devices, Inc.Inventors: Jesse E.
