  • Publication number: 20250242092
Abstract: A vessel including a thermoplastic wall enclosing a lumen is disclosed. The wall supports an SiOx composite barrier coating or layer, for which x is from 1.8 to 2.4, between the wall and the lumen. High Resolution X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) shows the presence of an interface between the composite barrier coating or layer and the wall or substrate. In one aspect, the interface has at least 1 mol. % O3—Si—C covalent bonding, as a proportion of the O3—Si—C covalent bonding plus SiO4 bonding. In another aspect, the interface has an Si 2p chemical shift to lower binding energy (eV), compared to the binding energy of SiO4 bonding. The result is a tightly adherent composite barrier coating or layer having a high degree of adhesion to the substrate under practical use conditions. Methods of applying the composite barrier coating or layer are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250243437
Abstract: A method to expedite the growth of the agave plant by growing the plant tissue from a cell culture in a laboratory utilize incubator cells that are taken from the leaf of an agave plant and grown in a medium containing all the nutrients required for the production of new cells and the maturation of those new cells. The cells are then exposed to photosynthetic active radiation and fed with extra carbon dioxide, causing the cells to undergo photosynthesis and form the sugars that are found in a naturally growing agave plant. These cultivated cells are given an optimum amount of light and carbon dioxide to promote an unexpected and substantially higher growth rate than heretofore achieved.

  • Publication number: 20250244814
Abstract: In a method of managing electrical power consumption by a group of energy storage devices, each energy storage device estimates a forecasted input energy amount for a future time period and communicates the forecasted input energy amount to a system controller. The system controller calculates an aggregate input energy based on a sum of the forecasted input energy amounts, generates a charging schedule identifying a group energy consumption rate for each of a plurality of intervals of the future time period, and communicates the charging schedule to each device controller. Each device calculates a device energy consumption rate based on the corresponding forecasted input energy amount and the group energy consumption rate for each interval, and consumes electrical power based on the device energy consumption rate for the interval. A portion of the consumed electrical power is stored in the storage medium.

  • Publication number: 20250247876
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for uplink scheduling for communication on an uplink from a user equipment (UE) to a base station (BS). The uplink scheduling is based on uplink transmission (UL Tx) switching time and/or uplink data preparation time of the UE. The uplink data preparation time is calculated based on the UL Tx switching time. For example, a UE can report to a BS at least one of an indication of a UL Tx switching time and an uplink data preparation time of the UE. In return, the UE can receive an indication of uplink scheduling from the BS, which the UE can use to communicate with the BS.

  • Publication number: 20250243372
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas barrier layer, to a nanocomposite lacquer suitable for producing the gas barrier layer and to a process for the production thereof. The gas barrier layer consists of a polymeric material into which platelet-shaped nanoparticles are embedded, wherein the nanoparticles are silicates, in particular phyllosilicates. The nanoparticles in the polymeric material have a homogeneous size distribution such as is obtained in an exfoliation of montmorillonites as nanoparticles at a rotational speed of 400 rpm for more than 30 minutes in a ball mill operated with a zirconium dioxide container and zirconium dioxide balls having a ball diameter of less than 50 mm. The proposed gas barrier layer is highly functional, is cost-effective to produce, ensures durable barrier properties on flexible films and moving components and is simple to apply and to dry.
