  • Publication number: 20190343217
Abstract: An article of footwear includes an upper defining an interior void and a first cable movable in a tightening direction to move the upper into a tightened state and movable in a loosening direction to move the upper into a loosened state. The article of footwear also includes a tightening grip operable to be moved away from the upper in a first direction to move the first cable in the tightening direction and a cable lock operable in a locked state to restrict movement of the first cable in the loosening direction and operable in an unlocked state to permit movement of the first cable in the loosening direction. A release grip is operable to be moved away from the upper in a second direction to move the cable lock from the locked state to the unlocked state, whereby the release grip is separate from the tightening grip.

  • Patent number: 10215717
Abstract: Techniques, systems, and devices are disclosed for analyzing a point of closest approach (PoCA) image of a volume of interest (VOI) comprising a set of recorded PoCA points from charged particle detector measurements to detect an object within the VOI. The VOI is partitioned into a set of equally-sized bins with each bin including a subset of the PoCA points. A bin metric is determined for each bin. A subset of the bins is selected based on the detected bin metric with the subset of bins being most likely to contain objects. A potential object for each selected bin is determined by determining a location and a size for the potential object based at least on the PoCAs inside the bin. A figure of merit (FOM) of the potential object is determined as a measure of the likelihood that the potential object is truly a threat object.

  • Publication number: 20190005148
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a network element that stores a lookup entry in a hardware table of a network element is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the network element receives a notification of a dirty lookup entry to be processed for a hardware table of a network element, where the hardware table includes a plurality of lookup entries. In addition, the network element determines a location for a table modification associated with the dirty lookup entry in the hardware table. Furthermore, the network element performs, with a hardware writer of the network element, the table modification associated with the lookup entry in a non-disruptive manner, where the hardware writer performs the table modification associated with the lookup entry in response to determining that the table modification associated with the lookup entry does not leave one of the plurality of lookup entries inconsistent after the table modification is performed.

  • Publication number: 20140336618
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to ejector mechanisms and devices for generating a directed stream of droplets, as well as improved methods for delivering an ejected stream of droplets to a target. The device and methods may be useful for the delivery of fluid for ophthalmic, topical, oral, nasal, or pulmonary use, more particularly, for use in the delivery of ophthalmic fluid to the eye. Certain aspects of the disclosure relate to devices and methods for the delivery of a therapeutically effective low dosage volume medicament composition to a target, e.g., by controlling charge, droplet size and/or droplet deposit parameters of the medicament composition.

  • Patent number: 8705363
Abstract: Improved packet scheduling methods and apparatuses for use in, among other things, a network interface of a router (or other network element) are described herein. In one such improved method, packets buffered in a network interface are segmented for transmission on a communications link into multiple scheduling domains each being represented by a scheduling tree, each scheduling tree is assigned to a separate virtual port scheduling engine, and a top level scheduling engine is employed to schedule between the outputs of the virtual port scheduling engines to make the final choice of which buffered packet to transmit on the communications link (e.g., to move to the transmit queue of the network interface). By having the virtual port scheduling engines operate in parallel and substantially independently of each other, the rate at which packet can be moved into the transmit queue may increase greatly, thereby increasing the bandwidth of the network interface of the router.

  • Patent number: 7778250
Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a layer II bridging switch for subscriber aggregation is described. The method receives packets from a circuit on the layer II bridging switch and makes a forwarding decision for each packet based on at least one of the addresses of the packet being currently assigned to a second circuit.

  • Publication number: 20080100329
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for ways of testing tags are provided. In an aspect of the present invention, an antenna is mounted in a cavity of a surface. The antenna transmits a test signal, such as a radio frequency (RF) test signal, to the antenna of an adjacent tag, to test the adjacent tag. In aspects, multiple cavities having antennas may be arranged in various ways in the surface, such as in a “checkerboard pattern” (e.g., diagonally positioned from each other), to test multiple tags in a web of tags simultaneously. In another aspect, tags that are not being tested may be held at an electrical voltage, such as a ground voltage, to disable the tags from responding to the test signals of other tags. For example, in an aspect, a vacuum system may be used to hold tags in a web of tags to the surface to hold antennas of the tags at the electrical voltage.
