  • Patent number: 11431756
Abstract: A DNS server receives from a receiving email system, a DNS query for an email domain stored at the DNS server, the DNS query including identifying information of a sender of an email. The DNS server extracts the identifying information of the email sender from the DNS query and identifies one of a plurality of delivering organizations from the information. The DNS server determines whether the identified delivering organization is authorized to deliver email on behalf of the email domain. In response to determining that the identified delivering organization is authorized to deliver email on behalf of the email domain, the DNS server generates a target validation record based on the identity of the authorized delivering organization and the email domain, the target validation record including one or more rules indicating to the receiving email system whether the delivering organization is an authorized sender of email for the email domain.

  • Patent number: 11399980
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a system for controlling a laser device comprises a laser device, a distance meter, a haptic sensation generator, and a computer. The laser device generates a laser beam with a focal point. The distance meter measures a distance between the focal point and a target of an eye of a patient. The haptic sensation generator generates an acoustic field that projects a sensory pattern onto a user. The computer: receives the distance from the distance meter; determines the pattern corresponding to the distance according to a function in which the distance is a variable; and instructs the haptic sensation generator to generate the acoustic field that projects the determined pattern.

  • Publication number: 20220219761
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling movement of a mudflap hanger arm, to reliably return from a deflected position to a resting position, while providing improved manufacturability and reduced corrosion and wear through the use of guidance surfaces on a mounting plate and a frame seat that form the interface between the hanger arm and a vehicle frame. When the hanger arm pivots about an axis on one side of the mounting plate and frame seat, guidance surfaces on the opposite side are in contact or near-contact, preventing the mounting plate and frame seat from being laterally displaced or rotated with respect to each other. The improved mounting plate and frame seat can reduce or eliminate manufacturing operations such as welding, coating, etc., reducing the cost of the apparatus, while enhancing manufacturability and operation.

  • Publication number: 20220174052
Abstract: A third-party server, delegated by organizations to manage application environment, may maintain a plurality of guided workflow plans. At least one of the guided workflow plans may include one or more steps associated with setting up an interaction control policy. The third-party server may receive an interaction report associated with the organization. The interaction report may include metadata of one or more devices that interacted with other devices. The third-party server may identify a particular device to which existing interaction control policies of the organization are inapplicable. The third-party server may search for additional out-of-band information of the particular device using the metadata in the interaction report. The third-party server may select an applicable guided workflow plan for setting up an applicable interaction control policy for the particular device. A guided workflow may be presented via a graphical user interface according to the applicable guided workflow plan.

  • Patent number: 11329997
Abstract: A delivering email system is configured to receive a request to send an email to a recipient, identify an authentication method of a sender account for the email, modify email headers of the email to include an indication of the authentication method, generate digital signatures for the email that include the email headers within a scope of the digital signatures, modify the email such that an email header of the email includes the digital signatures, and transmit the email, including the indication of the authentication method and the digital signatures, to the recipient at a receiving email system. The receiving email system is configured to receive the email, determine that the email headers are unaltered by validating the digital signatures against a public key of the sender domain, determine whether the authentication method indicated meets a criteria, and execute a security response against the email if not.

  • Patent number: 11329803
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing storage of encrypted data sets, deduplication of such data sets, and control of the redundancy of those data sets. A form of modified convergent encryption can be employed, whereby an encryption key for a data set is selected based on a combination of the plaintext of the data set and a salt value, with the salt value being selected from a number of permutations corresponding to a desired redundancy of the data set in a storage system. Accordingly, a given data set can result in a number of ciphertexts equal to the desired redundancy, and deduplication can occur by removing duplicative instances of individual ciphertexts. Salt values can be selected according to a variety of criteria, including user-based, time-based, and location-based criteria.

  • Patent number: 11313297
Abstract: A synchronous dynamometer assembly for applying a load to an engine during at least one portion of the combustion cycle of the engine in a synchronised manner so as to be repeatable each cycle of the engine comprises a dynamometer having a non-inductive load which is applied to the engine during operation to vary the speed of the engine. The non-inductive load is variable by varying the current delivered to it. Crankshaft monitoring means monitors the rotational position of the engine crankshaft, and combustion detection means detects a combustion event in a cylinder of the engine. Control means is operatively connected to the dynamometer for applying the load from the dynamometer to the engine for at least one part of the combustion cycle in real time such that the different loads may be applied to the engine for different parts of the combustion cycle.
