Abstract: A document input device having a gravity feed paper tray is adapted such that the separator pad is mounted on the base, as opposed to the cover, so that when the cover is opened to access the paper path (as during clearing of a paper jam), paper in the paper tray is held in place by the force of the separator pad against the pick roller, even though the cover is open. The separator pad may be attached to a rod that is attached to the base so as to permit the rod and separator pad to remain in place when the cover is in the open position. A leaf spring may be placed between the rod and the separator pad for biasing the separator pad against the pick roller. Also, the cover may include a spring for biasing the separator pad against the pick roller when the cover is in the closed position.

Abstract: A kitchen bowl is disclosed having a bowl portion formed of material with a first color, and indicia molded into a side of the bowl portion, the indicia having a second color that is different and contrasting to the first color, and the indicia being viewable on an interior of the kitchen bowl. Preferably, the bowl portion is molded with openings formed therein, and the openings are filled by a second molding step via injecting a different colored material into the openings. Preferably, the different colored materials are the same polymeric material with different colorants added thereto to provide contrast between the indicia and the bowl portion. The kitchen bowl may be provided with a handle, which may have a gripping surface thereon, and may be provided with a covering to provide a grip surface to the bottom, sides, or edges of the bowl portion.

Abstract: A beverage container lid for a container base having a reservoir, the lid comprising a shell removably mountable on the base comprising a first drink passage that extends through the shell and communicates with ambient and a cartridge removably engageable to the shell. A second drink passage is in communication with the first drink passage and is formed between an outer surface of the cartridge and inner surface of the shell. The cartridge comprises a valve that is moveable between an open condition and closed condition to control communication between the reservoir and second drink passage.

Abstract: One embodiment of the invention sets forth a hand-held electronics device for recording digital video that includes a housing, a processor disposed within the housing, and a data connector coupled to the processor such that data can be transmitted to and from the processor through the data connector. The data connector includes an arm rotationally coupled to the housing, and an adapter portion matable with a corresponding adapter of a computer system. The data connector forms a portion of a top part or a bottom part of the housing when in a retracted position. Among other things, the disclosed hand-held electronics device advantageously enables a user to easily, with one hand, hold the hand-held electronics device and slide the trigger with a thumb or other finger to release the data connector into the extended position.

Abstract: A pruning saw comprising a handle, a retractable blade pivotably connected to the handle, and a safety latch is disclosed. The handle includes first and second ends, top and bottom surfaces and a longitudinal recess beginning at the first end and extending along the bottom surface toward the second end, while the retractable blade is pivotably connected to the handle at the first end. The blade is capable of pivoting between an open and extended position substantially aligned with the handle and a closed and retracted position concealed within the longitudinal recess of the handle. Accordingly, the safety latch retains the blade in at least one of either the open and extended position and the closed and retracted position. Actuation of the safety latch releases the blade to move freely between the open and closed positions, the safety latch being responsive to at least two buttons positioned on the handle.

Abstract: The invention features a child resistant, moveable closure member and container device and an overcap and container device. The overcap has opposed end walls and opposed sidewalls, with at least one leading locking pin and at least one trailing locking pin in at least one of said sidewalls. The inner closure may have at least one guiding bar, which extends downwardly from its lower surface, that is compatible in shape with an opening slot that may be in at least one of the sidewalls along the upper body of the container. The container further has a fixed cover portion facing the inner closure with a dispensing opening therethrough. At least one of the container sidewalls may have a closing notch, a stopping notch distal to the closing notch, and an opening notch therebetween.
