  • Patent number: 11135093
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a patient interface apparatus for ophthalmic surgery comprises an annular member and an evacuation conduit. The annular member has an outer side, an inner side, a distal side, and a proximal side. The inner side defines an opening that allows for a laser beam to reach a treatment region of an eye free from reflection or refraction. The proximal side has a contact surface shaped to affix to a surface of the eye, and a groove that defines a suction chamber with the surface of the eye. The evacuation conduit is capable of fluid communication with the suction chamber, and conducts fluid away from the suction chamber to affix the contact surface to the surface of the eye.

  • Publication number: 20210281776
Abstract: An eye model comprises a sclera simulation which is made of a bright plastic material and a pattern which contrasts in color with the sclera simulation, the pattern simulating an eye pupil and/or an iris structure. The eye model is used to calibrate an eye tracking system.

  • Publication number: 20210177651
Abstract: The disclosure provides a system that may: receive data associated with multiple locations associated with a cornea of an eye; adjust at least one lens, based at least on diameter information of the data associated with at least one of the multiple locations, to set a diameter of a laser beam; and for each location of the multiple locations: determine if the eye has changed from a first position to a second position; if the eye has not changed from the first position to the second position, adjust, based at least on the location, at least one mirror; if the eye has changed from the first position to the second position, adjust, based at least on the location and based at least on the second position, the at least one mirror; produce the laser beam; and direct the laser beam to the location for a period of time.

  • Patent number: 10779989
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for a laser-assisted eye-surgery treatment system, comprising a first image-acquisition unit that is designed to acquire a first image (39) of an eye to be treated. The apparatus further comprises a computer arrangement which is designed to detect at least one first feature (40?) of the eye by means of image processing of the first image, and to determine a position and an orientation of the first feature in a coordinate system (S?) of the treatment system. The computer arrangement is also designed to determine a position and an orientation of an incision (66?) to be produced in the eye in the coordinate system (S?) of the treatment system as a function of the determined position and orientation of the first feature (40?) in the coordinate system and as a function of a previously determined relative position and orientation of at least one second feature (64?) of the eye with respect to the first feature (40?).
