Publication number: 20230306865Abstract: A system and method for simulating injury treatment on a living body are provided. The system includes an embedded system configured to be placed on a living body and to simulate an injury of the living body in response to instructions received from a simulation system. Sensors detect a parameter corresponding to a treatment of said injury and transmit said parameter to said simulation system which transmit the instructions to the embedded system to cause it to simulate the injury. The simulation system is further configured to receive sensor data representing the parameter detected by the sensors and the treatment of the injury, and to execute a simulation scenario, which associates the detected parameter with a corresponding effect on the injury. Furthermore, the simulation system is configured to send instructions to the embedded system, which cause the embedded system to simulate the injury such that the simulation reflects the treatment.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2022Publication date: September 28, 2023Inventors: Sören Björn Gutekunst, Peter Schneider, Frank Klemmer

Publication number: 20230108626Abstract: Systems, methods, and software of performing a UE challenge. In one embodiment, User Equipment (UE) initiates a UE challenge procedure to a home network before engaging in a primary authentication procedure by generating a UE challenge by encrypting a random nonce with a home network public key, and transmitting a first message containing the UE challenge toward the home network. The UE receives a second message containing a challenge response to the UE challenge, processes the challenge response to determine whether the home network decrypted the random nonce in response to the UE challenge, and verifies an identity of the home network when the home network decrypted the random nonce in response to the UE challenge.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2022Publication date: April 6, 2023Inventors: Peter Schneider, Ranganathan Mavureddi Dhanasekaran

Publication number: 20230091201Abstract: A device and method for intravascular treatment of atherosclerotic plaque prior to balloon angioplasty which microperforates the plaque with small sharp spikes acting as serrations for forming cleavage lines or planes in the plaque. The spikes may also be used to transport medication into the plaque. The plaque preparation treatment enables subsequent angioplasty to be performed at low balloon pressures of about 4 atmospheres or less, reduces dissections, and avoids injury to the arterial wall. The subsequent angioplasty may be performed with a drug-eluting balloon (DEB) or drug-coated balloon (DCB). The pre-angioplasty perforation procedure enables more drug to be absorbed during DEB or DCB angioplasty, and makes the need for a stent less likely. Alternatively, any local incidence of plaque dissection after balloon angioplasty may be treated by applying a thin, ring-shaped tack at the dissection site only, rather than applying a stent over the overall plaque site.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2022Publication date: March 23, 2023Inventors: Peter Schneider, Robert Giasolli
