  • Patent number: 12376601
Abstract: The disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for removing a yellow color of riboflavin in a lactose solution. The methods include exposing a lactose solution (e.g. milk) containing riboflavin to light under conditions that breakdown riboflavin comprised within the solution to thereby remove the yellow color of riboflavin. The conditions that breakdown include a specific wavelength of light (e.g. light having a wavelength of 360-475 nm) and a specific temperature range (e.g. a temperature of 0-80° C.). In certain embodiments, the duration of the treatment is such that the lactose solution is exposed to a total of 5-20 kW of light.

  • Publication number: 20250239718
Abstract: A pressure equalization element is intended for containers, preferably for vehicle battery housings. It has a housing with at least one inlet and at least one outlet for a gaseous medium, preferably air. It also has a valve element which is located in the flow path of the gaseous medium from the inlet to the outlet. A second valve element is provided in the flow path of the gaseous medium from the inlet to the outlet so that the pressure equalization element with its simple design enables reliable pressure equalization and reliable emergency venting in the event of danger. Both valve elements are pressurized against each other with different forces, whereby the pressure forces are provided in such a way that at least one valve element can be moved into a vacuum relief position and at least the other valve element into an overpressure relief position.

  • Publication number: 20250206675
Abstract: An input stock for producing a fiber-ceramic composite comprises 40-55 wt % inorganic fibers consisting of SiO2 and/or Al2O3, 40-50 wt % inorganic oxides, and 5-15 wt % water. The inorganic oxides contain at least 60 wt % SiO2 and at most 25 wt % Al2O3. A method for producing the input stock includes creating a suspension of water, ground inorganic oxides, and polyvinyl alcohol; contacting inorganic fibers with the suspension; and applying pressure to produce a storage-stable input stock. The input stock can be sintered at 900-990° C. to form a fiber-ceramic composite. The resulting composite contains inorganic fibers consisting of SiO2 and Al2O3 in an oxide ceramic matrix consisting of inorganic oxides with at least 60 wt % SiO2 and at most 25 wt % Al2O3.

  • Publication number: 20250019685
Abstract: A system, methods, and apparatus are described to collect and prepare single cells and groups of cells from microsamples of specimens and encode spatial information of the physical position of the cells in the specimen. In some embodiment, beads or surfaces with oligonucleotides containing spatial barcodes are used to analyze DNA or RNA. The spatial barcodes allow the position of the cell to be defined and the nucleic acid sequencing information, such as target sequencing, whole genome, gene expression, used to analyze the cells in a microsample for cell type, expression pattern, DNA sequence, and other information, in the context of the cell's physical position in the specimen. In other embodiment, markers such as isotopes are added to a microsample to encode spatial position with mass spectoscopy or other analysis. The spatial encoded information is then readout by analysis such as DNA sequencing, mass spectrometry, fluorescence, or other methods.
