Fabrication of the carbon nano-film can include depositing, by physical vapor deposition, a carbon film on a surface of a layer formed in a back end of line of complementary metal-oxide semiconductor processing of the electronic device. The carbon nano-film can be constructed as a carbon nano-fuse. Such a carbon nano-fuse can be used as a permanent data storage element in memory cells of a memory device.
