Patent number: 8241023Abstract: A pumping unit having a pump chamber with a rotor mounted in a rotatable manner within the chamber. The pumping chamber is formed by a circumferential wall and two end walls. The circumferential wall is formed on an annular collar of a pump part and has on its inner surface a track on which sealing bodies of a rotor roll. To avoid deformation of the pump part by hydraulic forces or by pressing-in forces, ribs are arranged on the outer surface of the circumferential wall which extend away from the pump chamber. A shoulder is arranged on the side of the end wall which is directed away from the pump chamber. The shoulder is connected by a press fit to the pump housing and has thin walls so that pressing forces do not result in any deformation to the end wall of the pump chamber.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2007Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Adam Wilhelm, Peter Weber, Johann Rothkopf, Tamara Rothkopf, legal representative, Mehmet Gueluem, Fevzi Yildirim, Thomas Wuensch, Reinhard Dittmann

Patent number: 7914454Abstract: A method and apparatus for electronic volume data acquisition using ultrasound generates image data in a scanning and imaging process known as coherent aperture combining beamforming (CAC-BF). The CAC-BF technique can be applied in an azimuth dimension and/or an elevation dimension, to form an ultrasound image line, image plane, or image data cube. Several innovations relating to the design and ordering of shots and efficient weighting algorithms that address various performance issues associated with B-mode and other modes such as Doppler, and harmonic imaging are disclosed. The invention has significant advantages over other synthetic aperture imaging techniques and conventional imaging techniques by supporting higher resolution, larger volumes and/or shorter acquisition times than comparative techniques, using similar system hardware complexity.Type: GrantFiled: June 25, 2004Date of Patent: March 29, 2011Assignee: Wilk Ultrasound of Canada, Inc.Inventors: Peter Weber, Timothy J Nohara, Al-Nasir Premji

Patent number: 7878851Abstract: Known pumping devices have a connection lid, a connection cap slipped over the connection lid, a hollow chamber formed between the connection lid and the connection cap, and electrical connections that extend through the connection cap into the hollow chamber. It is disadvantageous that when fuels containing water are being pumped, such as ethanol, corrosion can occur at the electrical connections and at the uninsulated cable segments that are exposed to fuel near the electrical connections, for instance at the electrical coils or flexible cables of the carbon brushes, and in the final analysis this leads to an interruption in the electrical contact and thus to failure of the pumping device. In the electrical device of the invention, corrosion of the electrical connections and of the electrical components adjoining them upstream and downstream is avoided entirely or at least greatly diminished. According to the invention, the electrical connections are each provided in separate chambers of the hollow chamber.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2008Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Danilo Silva, Erich Jahrstofer, Eric Plantier, Jens Gringer, Peter Weber, Celso Eduardo Fávero, Philip De Haan, Reinhard Dittmann
