  • Patent number: 11299384
Abstract: A bag-in-keg container for a carbonated beverage has a container body C, a flexible bag B within the container body, and a valve closure V attached to the container body. The valve closure includes a gas inlet port (11), a liquid dispensing port (12), and spring-loaded valve member (6) to sealably close the gas inlet and liquid dispensing ports. An adapter (20) sealingly attached to the flexible bag B incorporates a bag PRV (26) to vent gas pressure from within the flexible bag. A container PRV (40) vents gas pressure from between the container body C and the flexible bag B. The bag PRV has a valve shuttle with one side exposed to gas pressure within the flexible bag B and an opposite side exposed to gas pressure within a sealed plenum chamber (37). The bag PRV therefore operates at a fixed pressure independent of the differential pressure between the bag and the outer container.

  • Publication number: 20220056935
Abstract: An innovative hexagonet provides a unique surface structure to achieve optimal tribological performance of any solid objects. The hexagonet comprises fractal hexagons and each fractal hexagon include regular hexagons in fractal form that can reduce friction and improve interactions of an object with any other objects and environment, thereby increasing the performance and reliability of the object by increasing balance and consistency in motion and at rest. Once integrated to the object, the hexagonet can form a protective surface which is repellent to other matter, thus, providing slippery, anti-fouling and anti-bacterial properties. Additionally, the protective surface creates a tribological effect which significantly reduces heat and disturbance, contamination and wear and tear resulting in reduction of energy consumption of the object. Further, the versatile and effective hexagonet can provide various applications to the object in solid-to-solid, solid-to-liquid, solid-to-air interactions, etc.

  • Patent number: 11250863
Abstract: The techniques disclosed herein provide apparatuses and related methods for the communication of spatial audio and related metadata. In some implementations, a source provides prerecorded spatial audio that has embedded metadata. A computing device processes the prerecorded spatial audio to generate an audio codec that is segmented to include a first section of audio data and a second section that includes metadata extracted from the prerecorded spatial audio. The generated audio codec may be received by a device that includes an encoder. The encoder may process the generated audio codec to generate audio data that includes the metadata.

  • Patent number: 11249200
Abstract: A method for determining a radionuclide concentration of a material is provided. The method comprises placing a detector in a protective structure, wherein the detector is coupled to a single-channel analyzer. The method further comprises inserting the protective structure in a material, wherein the material comprises a radionuclide. The method additionally comprises measuring the moisture content of the material to be analyzed. The method also comprises counting the emitted radiation having a known energy over an interval of time to produce a count per time, wherein the emitted radiation is emitted from the radionuclide and then dividing the count per time by the weight of the material to produce a count per time per weight.

  • Publication number: 20220028753
Abstract: A method for forming a board assembly includes identifying a location of a hot-spot on a semiconductor die and cutting an opening in a circuit board corresponding to the location of the identified hot-spot. A Chemical Vapor Deposition Diamond (CVDD) window is inserted into the opening. A layer of thermally conductive paste is applied over the CVDD window. The semiconductor die is placed over the layer of thermally conductive paste such that the CVDD window underlies the hot-spot and such that a surface of the semiconductor die is in direct contact with the layer of thermally conductive paste.

  • Publication number: 20220017273
Abstract: A container for pressurised liquid has a closure (V) engaged on the neck (N), both formed of yieldable polymer. The closure (V) has an end wall (21) and a skirt (20) provided with internal screw threads (24) which co-operate with external screw threads (23) on the neck to hold the closure in place. A pressure seal (25) is formed between the mouth (22) of the neck and the end wall (21) of the closure when the closure is screwed onto the neck whereby the pressurised liquid is retained within the container. To prevent missiling when the closure (V) is unscrewed the proximal face (28) of the external screw threads (23) is formed with transverse venting channels (36) extending from the base (26) of the respective screw threads to their outer extremity (27). The distal face (29) of the external screw threads (23) opposite each of the venting channels (36) is substantially continuous. This avoids weakening the neck of the container and reduces the risk of long-term creep.

  • Publication number: 20220002136
Abstract: A valve closure for a keg, e.g. incorporating an A-type valve arrangement, has a gas inlet port 11, a liquid dispensing port 12 and a valve member 6 to sealably close the gas inlet and liquid dispensing ports. A venting mechanism includes a detent 23 which can be activated by rotating the valve member 6 after the keg has been filled. This mechanism, when activated, primes a resiliently deflectable circumferential arm 22 to move the detent between the sealing face of the valve member 6 and its valve seat when the valve is next connected for dispensing. When the mechanism is not activated it does not interfere with the normal opening and closing of the valve, e.g.
