  • Patent number: 9024615
Abstract: A non-contact voltage detection panel mount assembly is provided. The assembly includes a base to mount to an electrical enclosure, the base including of four voltage portals, a test point and a test voltage generator circuit used to test a pen. The pen is operatively connected to the base and includes an electrical charge storage device, a charge indicator operatively connected to the electrical charge storage device to indicate a presence of a charge within the electrical charge storage device, and a voltage present indicator to indicate presence of a voltage. The pen has a first position for lock-out-tag-out to monitor and test for voltage in any one of the four voltage portals and a second position to determine presence of voltage in the test point.

  • Patent number: 8779752
Abstract: A device for allowing an electrical worker to use a non-contact voltage detector to check for the presence or absence of voltage inside a closed electrical panel is provided. The device includes an assembly having a front side and an opposite back side, a plurality of posts extending outwardly from the back side of and configured to hold wires in a fixed position within the closed electrical panel, and a plurality of indentations in the front side which form protrusions on the back side and are positioned to allow for positioning the non-contact voltage detector proximate the wires for testing with the non-contact voltage detector.

  • Patent number: 8013613
Abstract: An electrical safety monitor includes line inputs for an L1, an L2, an L3, and a GND three-phase connections, a line monitoring circuit having a plurality of light indicators and configured to produce light if voltage exists between any two of the line inputs to thereby indicate presence of voltage to a user, and a current generating circuit electrically connected to the line monitoring circuit and adapted to generate a test current to the line inputs to transition the device from dead to live thereby allowing the user to discern between a failure state of the line monitoring circuit and an off state of the line monitoring circuit. The current inducing circuit can include a magnet which induces the test current, stored energy, a photocell, an electroactive material or other means for generating the test current.
