  • Publication number: 20100208789
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a mixed signal controller includes a fine controller, a coarse controller and a digital controller. The fine controller is operable to output an analog modulation signal responsive to an analog control signal and a voltage signal input to the fine controller. The coarse controller is operable to output a digital pulse width modulation (PWM) signal responsive to the analog modulation signal and an analog PWM reference signal input to the coarse controller. The digital controller is operable to program the analog control signal and the analog PWM reference signal responsive to the digital PWM signal so that the fine and coarse controllers together regulate the voltage signal at a predetermined voltage level.

  • Publication number: 20060122154
Abstract: The present invention provides thionucleoside compounds and certain derivatives thereof which are inhibitors of RNA-dependent RNA viral polymerase. These compounds are inhibitors of RNA-dependent RNA viral replication and are useful for the treatment of RNA-dependent RNA viral infection. They are particularly useful as inhibitors of hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B polymerase, as inhibitors of HCV replication, and/or for the treatment of hepatitis C infection. The invention also describes pharmaceutical compositions containing such thionucleoside compounds alone or in combination with other agents active against RNA-dependent RNA viral infection, in particular HCV infection. Also disclosed are methods of inhibiting RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, inhibiting RNA-dependent RNA viral replication, and/or treating RNA-dependent RNA viral infection with the thionucleoside compounds of the present invention.

  • Patent number: 6496744
Abstract: A system for selling, manufacturing and distributing a custom digital data product from retail stores, over the Internet, over the telephone, or by electronic means (e.g., fax, e-mail, and the like) wherein a customer is provided (e.g., by electronic mail verification) order tracking information. After a customer selects a “set” of sound recordings or data from a library or catalog of such recordings or data and payment or credit is received or verified, an image of the “set” is assembled from a storage or “disk” farm. The image is preferably assembled at a manufacturing facility, e.g., a CD-ROM burner farm, where the product is then made. Every data object on the product may have a code associated therewith for later reference. The disk and burner farms communicate via a high speed communications subsystem to facilitate continuous processing. Upon assembly and manufacture, the product is packaged and shipped.

  • Patent number: 5969498
Abstract: A controller for variable speed three-phase AC squirrel-cage induction motors in accordance with a volts-per-hertz control method is disclosed. Direct current ("DC") link current is employed to compensate for rotor slip. In particular, rotor slip is estimated and added to a speed reference command to compensate for changing loads. A direction input and speed reference command provide complete control over the induction motor.
