  • Patent number: 11246515
Abstract: A system and method for controlling a light emitting device for an optical sensor based on signal quality and/or power consumption requirements. Drive current and/or integration time is controlled as a function of detected ambient light or signal quality. As the signal quality decreases the drive current or integration time can be adjusted to provide a more usable signal. If after some criteria for reduction, such as “time on” or high signal quality, then the drive current can be decreased.

  • Publication number: 20220025033
Abstract: It has been demonstrated that certain compounds bind to TNF and stabilise a conformation of trimeric TNF that binds to the TNF receptor. Antibodies which selectively bind to complexes of such compounds with TNF superfamily members are disclosed. • Patent number: 11144045
Abstract: The attributes of a currently failed edge device are correlated with other devices having similar profiles or similar attributes. The correlating considers a history of operational patterns of the other edge devices over time. Based upon the results of the correlating, solutions to problems experienced by the other edge devices are identified. Selections from the solutions from the other edge devices are made and these selected solutions are to be implemented at the selected edge device in an effort to repair the selected edge device.

  • Publication number: 20210182801
Abstract: A process for the segregation, sterilization, and purification of recycled plastic medical waste with the subsequent production of plastic products made therefrom is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method for the front-end segregation of recycled plastic medical waste into a polypropylene waste stream and a mixed plastic waste stream. These segregated streams are further purified through a processing method that removes contaminating fibrous, metal and other waste products. Polypropylene and mixed plastic streams isolated using these methods yield a homogenous material that can be blended with other materials for the production of raw plastic or for extrusion to form commercial plastic products. A method for tracking regulated and non-regulated medical waste stream production kinetics and chain of custody from discrete waste disposal sites is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210140972
Abstract: The invention is in the field of TNF signalling. Compounds have been identified which are capable of modulating signalling of TNF trimers through receptors. Methods of identifying such compounds are therefore provided. The compounds themselves have utility in therapy.

  • Publication number: 20210088530
Abstract: A new, stable trimeric TNF? structure is disclosed with distorted symmetry which can bind to the TNFR1 receptor to attenuate signalling therefrom, which can be used in the treatment and/or prevention of diseases associated with the soluble TNF?/TNFR1 interaction. Membrane-bound TNF? is not affected in its ability to signal through TNFR2, and thus the new structure of TNF? may be used in therapies which do not significantly raise the risk of infection or malignancy.

  • Publication number: 20200327963
Abstract: The disclosure enables latent space exploration of a dataset based on drug molecular-structure data and drug biological-treatment data for a set of drug compounds in order to determine optimal drug compounds for treating diseases. Regional interpolation, including a linear interpolation (LERP) operation and a non-linear interpolation operation such as a spherical linear interpolation (SLERP), along with quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) models may be utilized to navigate through a latent space generated from a variational auto-encoder (VAE), in accordance with certain embodiments.
