  • Publication number: 20210112625
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for automated detection of relative position among a plurality of wireless access points (WAPs) deployed in service area. An exemplary service area is the passenger cabin of a commercial airplane. The method can include transmitting a signal on a wireless channel at a fixed power level across the service area. Each WAP can measure a signal strength of the signal received from all other WAPs of the plurality of WAPs. The plurality of WAPs can share reports including signal strengths of the signal transmitted from all of the other WAPs. Each WAP can then form a matrix of measured signal strengths and measuring WAPs including the signal strength of signals transmitted by each WAP as received by all other WAPs as the measuring WAPs. The matrix can be used to determine a relative position of the plurality of WAPs based on the first matrix.

  • Publication number: 20210110247
Abstract: The embodiments herein describe hybrid parallelism techniques where a mix of data and model parallelism techniques are used to split the workload of a layer across an array of processors. When configuring the array, the bandwidth of the processors in one direction may be greater than the bandwidth in the other direction. Each layer is characterized according to whether they are more feature heavy or weight heavy. Depending on this characterization, the workload of an NN layer can be assigned to the array using a hybrid parallelism technique rather than using solely the data parallelism technique or solely the model parallelism technique. For example, if an NN layer is more weight heavy than feature heavy, data parallelism is used in the direction with the greater bandwidth (to minimize the negative impact of weight reduction) while model parallelism is used in the direction with the smaller bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20210110862
Abstract: A write history buffer can prevent write disturb in memory, enabling a reduction in write disturb refresh rate and improvement in performance. A memory device can include circuitry to cause consecutive write commands to the same address to be spaced by an amount of time to reduce incidences of write disturb, and therefore reduce the required write disturb refresh rate and improve performance. In one example, a memory device receives multiple write commands to an address. In response to receipt of the multiple write commands, the first write command is sent to the memory and a timer is started. Subsequent write commands that are received after the first write command and before expiration of the timer are held in a buffer. After expiration of the timer, only the most recent of the subsequent write commands to the address is sent to the memory array.
