  • Patent number: 10914081
Abstract: An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.

  • Patent number: 10913161
Abstract: A skin or skin system for a robot or robotics assembly is provided that includes one or more integral elastomeric links (or bars) (“IELs”) that are configured for receiving and connection with coupling elements or members (e.g., pivot pins) at the ends of mechanical links/bars. The IELs are also configured to act as a final link of a mechanical linkage made up of these mechanical links to provide a closed chain. For example, the body of each of the IELs, or a portion of the IEL body extending between connection points with the coupling elements of the links/bars of the mechanical linkage, provides a final link in a mechanical linkage forming a closed chain to allow it properly function.

  • Patent number: 10914288
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a wind turbine configured with an on load tap changer transformer which enables adjustment of a current ratio of a primary side current of the transformer and a secondary side current of the transformer. The method comprises detecting that a network voltage on the primary side or secondary side of the transformer is outside a pre-determined voltage range, and in response determining a current reference for the primary side current based on the detected network voltage. The power converter of the wind turbine is controlled to generate an increase of the primary side current towards the current reference, and the current ratio of the transformer is adjusted towards a higher ratio of the current ratio.

  • Patent number: 10912942
Abstract: An implantable pulse generator (IPG) is disclosed having an improved ability to steer anodic and cathodic currents between the IPG's electrodes. Each electrode node has at least one PDAC/NDAC pair to source/sink or sink/source a stimulation current to an associated electrode node. Each PDAC and NDAC receives a current with a magnitude indicative of a total anodic and cathodic current, and data indicative of a percentage of that total that each PDAC and NDAC will produce in the patient's tissue at any given time, which activates a number of branches in each PDAC or NDAC. Each PDAC and NDAC may also receive one or more resolution control signals specifying an increment by which the stimulation current may be adjusted at each electrode. The current received by each PDAC and NDAC is generated by a master DAC, and is preferably distributed to the PDACs and NDACs by distribution circuitry.

  • Patent number: 10914534
Abstract: Systems according to the present disclosure provide one or more surfaces that function as power radiating surfaces for which at least a portion of the radiating surface includes or is composed of “fractal cells” placed sufficiently closed close together to one another so that a surface wave causes near replication of current present in one fractal cell in an adjacent fractal cell. The fractal cells may lie on a flat or curved sheet or layer and be composed in layers for wide bandwidth or multibandwidth transmission. The area of a surface and its number of fractals determines the gain relative to a single fractal cell. The boundary edges of the surface may be terminated resistively so as to not degrade the cell performance at the edges. Fractal plasmonic surface cards are described.

  • Patent number: 10914551
Abstract: An ejector system for ejecting/separating a store, such as a weapon, from a launch platform includes a pair of spring assemblies that each include nested springs that are contained in a housing when the spring assemblies are in a compressed configuration. To separate the store from the aircraft the spring assemblies each move from the initial compressed configuration to an extended configuration, using the potential energy stored in the springs when compressed. The extension of the springs extends the springs mostly out of the spring assembly housings, extending telescoped sleeves of the spring assemblies. The extension of the spring assemblies provides a safe and steady way of separating the store from the launch platform, while having the advantages of being reusable, low cost and low weight, not producing any debris, and providing a softer push than may be produced by other separation mechanisms, such as the use of pyrotechnic devices.

  • Patent number: 10914421
Abstract: A grease gun is provided comprising a body having a reservoir bore with a plurality of grooves; a grease reservoir is in communication with the reservoir bore and has a reservoir groove on an outside surface of the reservoir. A retention fastener is received by a groove and is in operational engagement with the reservoir groove to removably retain the reservoir. The retention fastener may be connected to a fastener bracket via an aperture. The bracket is connected to a push-button via a connection mechanism. The grease reservoir may be removed or mounted to the connection aperture by exerting force on the button which transfers the force to the bracket via the connection mechanism. The force causes movement of the bracket along the aperture which deforms the retention fastener to allow the grease reservoir to be mounted/removed.

  • Patent number: 10915242
Abstract: An interface system enables a user to navigate a graphical user interface by touching output regions on a touch surface or by interacting with other types of displays that present regions whose locations can be sensed by the user. The arrangement of the output regions on the output device is defined statically or dynamically to correspond to display items that are displayed by a target device, such as a computer or game. The output regions may be automatically and dynamically extracted from the software that creates the visual display on the target device. Features are included to consolidate complex displays into manageable groups.

  • Patent number: 10912860
Abstract: A microporous gel system for certain applications, including biomedical applications, includes an aqueous solution containing plurality of microgel particles including a biodegradable crosslinker. In some aspects, the microgel particles act as gel building blocks that anneal to one another to form a covalently-stabilized scaffold of microgel particles having interstitial spaces therein. In certain aspects, annealing of the microgel particles occurs after exposure to an annealing agent that is endogenously present or exogenously added. In some embodiments, annealing of the microgel particles requires the presence of an initiator such as exposure to light. In particular embodiments, the chemical and physical properties of the gel building blocks can be controlled to allow downstream control of the resulting assembled scaffold. In one or more embodiments, cells are able to quickly infiltrate the interstitial spaces of the assembled scaffold.
