  • Publication number: 20100185928
Abstract: Extensible architecture and data flow in a web based diagram visualization service is accomplished by enabling a diagram update engine to launch custom data modules. Data modules for data sources that are not inherently supported are created by third parties through a specially defined interface (e.g. .NET® assemblies) and made visible for the web based diagram services and callable from a diagram update engine. Thus, a number of data sources from which diagram data can be retrieved and the way incoming data is manipulated and aggregated is extensible through code.

  • Patent number: 7392136
Abstract: The invention allows construction of the architecture of sedimentary layers deposited on a topographic surface as a result of the passage of sedimentary currents, using cellular automata. The topographic surface is discretized into a set of cellular automata. Then, for each current and each automaton, a stationary physical state resulting from an iterative process wherein intermediate physical states are constructed by material and energy exchanges between the automata is determined. These automata are thus constructed so as to be representative of the action of the sedimentary currents on the construction of the sedimentary architecture. A set of geologic variables allowing the architecture of the sedimentary layers to be reconstructed is thus deduced from these stationary physical states. Preferred fields of application of the method are oil exploration and production and reservoir characterization.

  • Publication number: 20040234445
Abstract: A method for the selective production of ordered carbon nanotubes includes decomposition of a carbon source in the gaseous state in contact with at least one solid catalyst, taking the form of metallic particles borne by carrier grains. The catalyst grains are adapted so as to be able to form a fluidised bed containing between 1% and 5% by weight of metallic particles having average dimensions of between 1 nm and 10 nm. The decomposition takes place in a fluidised bed of catalyst grains. The method can be used to obtain pure nanotubes with predetermined dimensions in a high yield.

  • Publication number: 20040025504
Abstract: The invention concerns a turbocharger with a variable geometry turbine comprising a mobile cylindrical piston (70) to modify the cross-section of the input nozzle to the turbine. Vanes (90) extending from a heat shield (92) for adjusting the flow of the nozzle are contacted by the piston in a first closed position. In a second open position, the piston is spaced apart from the vanes, thereby increasing the input nozzle cross-section.

  • Patent number: 6685965
Abstract: The present invention refers to a process for stabilizing LAA in an aqueous medium, which includes the step of contacting the LAA with at least one-compound capable of forming hydrogen bridges with the LAA. In another aspect, the invention relates to a stable aqueous LAA composition which includes, in addition to the ascorbic acid, at least one compound which is linked to the LAA by hydrogen bridges, and to a process for preparing it. The present invention further relates to an emulsion including, in its aqueous phase, at least one compound linked to levogyre ascorbic acid (LAA) by hydrogen bridges. Further according to the present invention a vitamin product is provided, in which a stable LAA composition as described above is contained in organic envelopes which enable a gradual and prolonged release of the LAA into the organism. The vitamin product may further include a compound capable of stimulating the metabolism of the fibroblasts.
