  • Patent number: 5616128
Abstract: A self-injection device has a tubular sleeve which is open at its posterior end and partially closed at its anterior end. An ampule sealed at its posterior end by a piston and at its anterior end by a membrane is axially arranged within the tubular sleeve. An injection needle having a terminal flange at its posterior end and an anterior end for piercing the membrane is axially arranged in the ampule. A tubular actuating cap having a piston rod emanating from the bottom of cap for acting upon the piston is slidably guided on the sleeve. The actuating cap and the piston rod are traversed by a central bore having axially extending grooves. The device also includes a locking pin having radially projecting spring tongues. A first segment of the spring tongue extends in an axial direction on the periphery of the locking pin and a second segment is bent at an obtuse angle, extending obliquely outward in a radial-axial direction through the axially extending grooves in the central bore.

  • Patent number: 5305818
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a process for producing molded parts, made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and having integrated channels intended for the distribution of a lubricant or for the circulation of a liquid coolant. In the process one or more tubes, made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and previously formed, are placed in a mold, the ends of the tube or tubes being on the outside of the mold or of the cores inserted therein. The aluminum or alloy is poured into the cavity of the mold, and after demolding, the surplus portions of the tube or tubes are eliminated. This process is used for the mass production of molded parts having a system of internal channels, such as cylinder heads, compressor cylinders, lubrication systems, convectors, etc.

  • Patent number: 4964321
Abstract: An auxiliary shaft (16) mounted coaxially with a main shaft (5) has at the top an eccentric (17) operatively connected via grooving (20, 21) to a tool-fastening plate (13). At the bottom of the auxiliary shaft is a wheel (19) fixed to the eccentric and provided with a recess (18). The recess can engage a fixed lug cam so that a feed motor can cause both the rotary movement of the ball turner and a tool correction effected by a relative rotary movement between the main shaft and the auxiliary shaft. For the sake of accuracy, the angular displacement is limited to an area in which the displacement of the tool-fastening plate caused by the eccentric is substantially linear with the angular displacement. All rotary motions are measured during the operation by a shaft encoder (9) and communicated to a CNC system.

  • Patent number: 4955413
Abstract: The invention concerns an Al alloy product containing lithium, with great specific mechanical strength and high tolerance to damage, particularly resistance to corrosion under stress in processed state (quenched-tempered), particularly in recrystallized state, and a process to obtain said product. The products according to the invention present a specific microstructure, with numerous rather coarse precipitates of intermetallic phases which are rich in Al, Cu, Li, Mg and optionally also Zn, of which the volume fraction is between 0.6 and 4%. A differential enthalpic analysis allows verification that the product has been processed according to the method which is claimed. This method consists of applying the following thermal treatments to the alloy:an optional heat maintenance stage in the course of the manufacture (for wrought alloys) or before placement in solution (for the cast alloys) at a temperature of between 490.degree. and 250.degree. C. for 1 to 48 hours.a placement in solution between 460.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4799976
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for improving the surface condition of Li-containing Al alloy products. According to the process, heating at a temperature exceeding 300.degree. C. takes place in an atmosphere containing, in volume percent, 5 to 98% CO.sub.2, 2.ltoreq.dry air.ltoreq.95% and the remainder water. The process prevents the appearance of surface pitting and reduces the depth of the Li-depleted surface zone.

  • Patent number: 4758286
Abstract: The present invention relates to Al-base alloys essentially containing additions of Li, Mg and Cu and possibly minor additions of Cr, Zr, Ti and Mn, which have high specific mechanical characteristics, a low density and good resistance to corrosion. The alloys according to the invention contain (in % by weight): Li 1.8 to 3.5; Mg 1.4 to 6.0; Cu 0.2 to 1.6 with Mg/Cu.gtoreq.1.5; Cr up to 0.3; Mn up to 1; Zr up to 0.2; Ti up to 0.1 and/or Be up to 0.02, Fe up to 0.20; Si up to 0.12; Zn up to 0.35%.The homogenization and solution treatments must be taken to a sufficiently advanced stage to dissolve the quaternary intermetallic phases (Al, Li, Mg, Cu) which are larger than 5 .mu.m in size. Such alloys present a compromise between their mechanical characteristics and their density, which is higher than that of the knwn Al Cu Mg alloys, and alloys containing Li.

  • Patent number: 4717068
Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for plating Al alloys containing lithium by hot co-rolling under the usual heating conditions, in the air. The process comprises effecting controlled oxidation of the core alloy by heating in the air at between 450.degree. C. and 550.degree. C. for a period of time such that the depth affected by the surface loss of Li is between 50 and 700 .mu.m. The core is then treated mechanically or chemically to remove the surface oxides with a loss of alloy less than 30 .mu.m. An assembly of the core and platings is then co-rolled with reheating to a temperature of less than 500.degree. C. for less than 24 hours. The result is perfect adhesion of the core to the surface platings.

  • Patent number: 4652314
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for producing products of Al-base alloys essentially containing Li, Mg and Cu as main alloy elements and having a high level of ductility and isotropy. The process comprises subjecting the homogenized product to a "tepid" transformation operation at from 100.degree. to 420.degree. C. The intermediate annealing operations, if required, are carried out in the range of from 200.degree. to 550.degree. C. The rate of cooling after the intermediate annealing operations is generally kept at from 1500.degree. C./second to 30.degree. C./hour. The isotropy and ductility of the resulting products are considerably improved in comparison with the prior art processes.
