  • Publication number: 20260201207
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to food or beverage container coating compositions, articles having a coating formed from such compositions, and methods of coating using the compositions to achieve performance in multiple properties at the same time when using select blocked polyisocyanate crosslinkers combined with select hydroxyl-functional polyester polymers. The selected combinations of the blocked polyisocyanate and hydroxyl-functional polyester polymers provide the robust ability to use a wider variety of hydroxyl-functional polyester polymers in terms of peak molecular weight and glass transition temperature to achieve acceptable and/or enhanced performance in terms of plate aging, flow lines, and acid retort performance, while the freedom to use a broader range of concentrations of isocyanate is maintained.

  • Patent number: 10486865
Abstract: The present invention provides coating systems that use polycyclic polyester resins in combination with phenolic resins. The combination of these resin materials provides a coating composition that provides cured coatings with excellent adhesion, blush resistance, stain resistance, and corrosion resistance in a single coating composition. This makes the coating compositions well suited for use to form coatings on closures used in the packaging industry for food and beverages. In many embodiments, even though PVC and BPA materials are excluded, the coating compositions provide monocoats whose performance substantially matches and even exceeds the performance of monocoats formed from PVC and BPA containing materials.

  • Patent number: 9082247
Abstract: A modular automated collection point (ACP) comprises an array of electronically controlled lockers for receiving items for sale or for delivery to customers, a controller and user interface, a parcel weighing and dimensional measuring unit, and a package deposit unit with a one-way door for depositing items for subsequent delivery to other customers or ACPs. Each door preferably moves rapidly from the fully-open position to a partially-open position, and then slowly from the partially-open position towards a fully-closed position. Each locker may comprise a retractable handle and an elongate, rotating closure element which moves the locker door between the fully-closed (locked) position and a nearly-closed (unlocked) position. Preferably the closure element has a cylindrical outer wall which conforms slidingly to the fascia of the lockerbank so as to present a seamless appearance and prevent prising.
