  • Patent number: 7472971
Abstract: A media center for housing audio-video equipment and displaying a video display includes a cabinet for housing electronic components, a display panel or column, and an adjustable attachment. The display panel defines a cavity for routing wires of the electronic components. The cabinet is movably attached to the display panel via the adjustable attachment, and is movable relative to the display panel between a use position, where the rear portion of the cabinet is substantially abutted against the display panel, and a service position, where the rear portion of the cabinet is at least partially spaced from the display panel for accessing the wires of the electronic components. The display panel may be supported on a channel member that defines a routing cavity therealong for routing wires of the electronic components.

  • Publication number: 20080265301
Abstract: A method for fabricating a memory device with a self-aligned trap layer which is optimized for scaling is disclosed. In the present invention, a non-conformal film is deposited over the charge trapping layer to form a thick film on top of the core source/drain region and a pinch off and a void or a narrow channel at the top of the STI trench. An etch is performed on the non-conformal film to open pinch-off or widen the narrow channel in the non-conformal. The trapping layer is then completely or partially etched between the core cells. The non-conformal film is removed. And a top oxide is formed. The top oxide converts the remaining trap layer to oxide if the trapping layer is partially etched and thus isolate the trap layer.

  • Publication number: 20070174635
Abstract: Systems, methods and media for verifying the existence of a licensed software installation at the time of an update to the software are disclosed. In one embodiment, a package of files for the update is encrypted with a copy of a key file that is contained in the original installation. The encrypted package of files is stored at a remote location that is accessible by way of a website. When a user seeks to download an update, the user must provide a copy of the key file used to encrypt the data. The user-provided key file is then used to decrypt the encrypted package.

  • Publication number: 20070121863
Abstract: This invention shows a method for operating a voice communications network that comprises dynamically associating a private number with at least one public number of a circuit-switched voice communication network, authenticating a user of a private number without reliance on a static reproducible data code, receiving an incoming call to the public number and routing the incoming call from a caller to the private number. The method also shows the generation of an outgoing call from the private number and passing the outgoing call through the public number while generating calling party information to a target which preserves the privacy of the caller, and altering an associating of the private number and at least one public number. The system therefore acts as a proxy with authentication by means of dynamic code security. The caller and the user of the private number share seamless round-trip telephone communications while preserving the anonymity of the user of the private number.

  • Publication number: 20060230259
Abstract: An instruction memory unit comprises a first memory structure operable to store program instructions, and a second memory structure operable to store program instructions fetched from the first memory structure, and to issue stored program instructions for execution. The second memory structure is operable to identify a repeated issuance of a forward program redirect construct, and issue a next program instruction already stored in the second memory structure if a resolution of the forward branching instruction is identical to a last resolution of the same. The second memory structure is further operable to issue a backward program redirect construct, determine whether a target instruction is stored in the second memory structure, issue the target instruction if the target instruction is stored in the second memory structure, and fetch the target instruction from the first memory structure if the target instruction is not stored in the second memory structure.

  • Publication number: 20060177760
Abstract: A printing plate curing system includes a color sensor that measures at least one color value of a printing plate. The color value is used to control a parameter of a curing system, such as energy output or conveyor speed. Multiple color sensors may be used to measure color values of a printing plate before and after imaging, developing and curing. Each sensor may measure multiple color values. The measure values may be used to control an imager as well as a curing system.

  • Publication number: 20060174508
Abstract: A system for curing printing plates with controlled radiant energy sources. A conveyor moves a printing plate through a chamber having energy radiators above and below the conveyor. Power to the radiators is controlled for each radiator or to groups of radiators defining radiation zones. Curing time may be controlled by adjusting power to the radiators and adjusting the conveyor speed. Sensors detect a plate as it enters and exits the chamber. Heat sensors may detect chamber or plate temperatures. A color sensor may detect plate color as an indicator of degree of curing. A computer system stores curing scenarios and uses the sensor signals and operator inputs to control power to the radiators and conveyor speed to provide uniform curing of the plate.
