  • Patent number: 7051031
Abstract: Provided is a method, system, and program for managing access to data objects by multiple user programs over a network. A page is generated including at least one editable field of data from at least one data object. An initial value is calculated from the at least one data object and the page and the initial value are transmitted to one user program over the network. The page and the initial value are received from the user program, wherein the received page includes modified data in at least one editable field. A current value is calculated from the at least one data object after receiving the page and a determination is made as to whether the initial value transmitted with the received page is different than the current value. If the initial and current values match, then the data object is updated with the modified data included in the received page.

  • Patent number: 6934721
Abstract: Provided is a method, system, and program for managing information for an application program. The information includes an information class having a plurality of attributes values. The application program maintains multiple information class instances and wherein each instance includes at least one of the plurality of attribute values. User input is received indicating a plurality of information class instances and for each information class instance at least one attribute value. A main directory is generated for the application program. For each information class instance received from the user, a subdirectory is generated from the main directory for the information class instance and, for each received attribute value for the information class instance, one attribute file is generated providing the at least one attribute value. Each generated attribute file is stored in the subdirectory of the information class instance for which the attribute value is provided.

  • Publication number: 20050104249
Abstract: A brush is injection molded in a multipart mold. The bristles of the brush are sequentially molded integrally with the base or handle. The bristles are extremely small and are injection molded in a unique molds. The bristle portion of the mold consists of a series a plates or semi-sphere cups, each of which is drilled with a diminutive drill bit. The plates and cups are then assembled so that the bores of the plates and cups are aligned to form the bristle containing portion of the mold. The mold portion for the bristles is injection molded with a first resin material. Then base or handle producing portion of the mold is injected with a second resin material. The selection of applicable resins, seize of bristles, spacing of bristles, viscosity of the to-be-dispensed fluid all considered in the defining of the amount of liquid to be carried and dispensed by the brush.

  • Patent number: 6537239
Abstract: The present invention pertains to two inserts to be used in conjunction with the nozzles of known liquid flow through applicators. The inserts have a proximate flange detailed to fit into a wider portion of the applicator and a bristle or dabber portion at its distal end detailed to extend beyond the applicator. The bristle or dabber portions are connected by an elongated rod portion. In one embodiment the rod portion is crisscrossed with a clockwise thread and a counter-clockwise thread whereby two disparate liquids may be mixed together through the flow transitory passage of the liquids in the nozzle. In the second embodiment the rod portion is essentially smooth. However, the external diameter of the rod is substantially less than the internal diameter of the passage of the applicator whereby an annular space is formed.

  • Publication number: 20030029015
Abstract: A method and apparatus for lifting the tabs of a protective seal with edges embedded in a laminate. The base of the device has an annular top having a plurality of cartridge receiving apertures spaced equally from one another. Each hole receives a tab engagement assembly comprising a cartridge, a spring, and a finger have an abutment surface. The finger is pivotally fastened at one end within the slot of the cartridge and is biased away from the cartridge by the spring. When the base is placed in proximate relationship with the laminate seal patch secured to the substrate, the rotating base causes the abutment surfaces of the fingers to drag across the periphery of the laminate seal in a circular motion. The stresses created on the tabs of the protective seal cause the embedded edges to be lifted. The lifted tabs are accessible to the end user and the protective seals may be easily peeled from the substrate when desired by the end user.

  • Patent number: 6376025
Abstract: A method for applying flock to the end of a tube which is to be used as a flow through applicator. An external end portion of the tube is coated with an adhesive, air is intermittently blown through the tube to keep the tube clear of unwanted adhesive. The end of the tube coated will the said uncured adhesive in then subjected to an application of flock under the aegis of electrostatic attraction while air is intermittently blow through the tube to thereby keep the tube essentially clear of flock. The tube carrying the flock is subjected to a heat cure. The tube may be of metal or a plastic. When the latter the end portion of the tube is subjected to a preliminary corona discharge whereby to active its service to increase the adhesive to the adhesive coating in a known manner.
