  • Publication number: 20240340733
Abstract: The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for L2 resets. For example, a UE can be connected to a base station DU via a first cell and can be configured with information about a second cell. This information can indicate whether an LTM association exists between the first cell and the second cell (e.g., whether these two cells are provided by the same base station DU or not). Upon a command to establish a connection with the second cell (e.g., a MAC CE handover command), the UE can determine whether an L2 reset is to be performed or not based on the configuration information (e.g., the L2 reset can be foregone when the two cells are provided by the same base station DU; otherwise, the L2 reset can be performed).

  • Publication number: 20240334474
Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to logical channel prioritization. A method includes obtaining an uplink grant from a network device, the uplink grant indicating uplink resources for transmission to the network device and selecting a logical channel prioritization setting from a plurality of logical channel prioritization settings based on a predetermined policy related to the uplink grant, the logical channel prioritization settings defining different sets of prioritization parameters for uplink data in at least one logical channel and uplink control information in occupying the uplink resources. The method further includes generating, based on the logical channel prioritization setting, a packet data unit including at least one of the uplink control information or at least one part of the uplink data for transmission to the network device using the uplink resources. In this way, adaptive and dynamic prioritization across logical channels can be achieved at the terminal device.

  • Publication number: 20240195535
Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to de-prioritization of retransmission. A device determines whether user data is absent in a transport block that is to be retransmitted through a hybrid automatic repeat request process. The device deprioritizes selection of the hybrid automatic repeat request process for one or more transmissions on a configured grant based at least in part on the determination. Through this solution, it is possible to avoid or deprioritize unnecessary retransmissions of the transport blocks without user data.

  • Patent number: 12010544
Abstract: Techniques of ensuring that the survival time requirement is fulfilled include applying, by the UE (transmitter), a plurality of different logical channel (LCH) mapping restrictions to the packets on the same data radio bearer (DRB). In some implementations, the LCH mapping restrictions to be applied depend on the SN of the PDCP PDU to be processed. For example, the first LCH mapping restriction may be limited to radio resource with lower reliability (e.g., with the first LCH mapping restriction, the data from this LCH can only be mapped to a CG configuration without repetition and/or high MCS), while the second LCH mapping restriction may be limited to radio resources with extremely high reliability (e.g., with the first LCH mapping restriction, the data from this LCH can only be mapped to a CG configuration with repetitions and/or low MCS).

  • Publication number: 20240107524
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for, in aspects, receiving, at a User Equipment (UE), a configuration relating to a logical channel (LCH) from a Base Station (BS); receiving, at the UE, an uplink grant for an uplink data; identifying a subset of the LCH mappable to the uplink grant based on the at least a part of the configuration; determining, at the UE, a connected-mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) setting to be applied for an uplink transmission associated with the uplink grant based on the identified subset of the LCH; and controlling a quiescent state of the UE based on the C-DRX setting, wherein, in aspects, mappable may refer to allowed to be mapped or actually mapped. When LCHs of the subset are associated with different C-DRX settings, rule-based C-DRX selection can be used.
