  • Patent number: 6525435
Abstract: A power distributing mechanism includes a regulating circuit disposed between at least two circuit portions. The regulating circuit includes bifilar-wound windings electrically coupled to the circuit portions. In a first embodiment, the two circuit portions withdraw power from two separate power sources. The regulating circuit, in response to power withdrawn from the power sources passing through the circuit portions, proportionally allocates the withdrawn power between the circuit portions. In a second embodiment, the two circuits portions withdraw power from a single power source. The two circuit portions serve as redundant reliability backup to each other. In the event of circuit failure in one of the circuit portions, the regulating circuit in response to the failure proportionally allocates power to the remaining functioning circuit portion.

    Assignee: Broadband Telcom Power, Inc.
Inventors: James L. Lau, Xiao Ping Jin
  • Publication number: 20020146773
Abstract: The present invention concerns the discovery that proteins encoded by a family of vertebrate genes, termed here signalin-related genes, which are involved in signal transduction induced by members of the TGF&bgr; superfamily. The present invention makes available compositions and methods that can be utilized, for example to generate and/or maintain an array of different vertebrate tissue both in vitro and in vivo.

  • Patent number: 6366484
Abstract: A power conversion arrangement includes a transformer disposed between an input circuit and an output circuit. The transformer has primary and secondary windings coupled to the input and output circuits, respectively. Current passing through the input circuit is sensed and detected by a detecting circuit which generates a signal proportional in magnitude to the output current sourcing out of the output circuit.

  • Patent number: 6132568
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a samarium monosulfide piezochromic thin film, and the present invention relates to a process for producing a thin film material at a high film formation rate by forming a samarium monosulfide thin film on a substrate by a reactive sputtering deposition process, which is a process for producing a samarium monosulfide (SmS) thin film, characterized by co-sputtering a disamarium trisulfide (Sm.sub.2 S.sub.3) compound target and a samarium (Sm) metal target simultaneously in an inert gas discharge.

  • Patent number: 5929805
Abstract: A method for reducing master antenna tracking errors in a multiplexing GPS receiver resulting in a differential phase measurement scheme which is insensitive to the master antenna tracking loop errors is disclosed. The master antenna tracking loop error at a given update K is subtracted from a phase measurement associated with a slave antenna signal at update K. The method comprises the determination of interpolation coefficients by which the master antenna tracking loop errors are weighted in order to minimize each of the slave antenna differential measurements.
