    Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of energy-based models (EBMs), which may be trained via embodiments of a multistage coarse-to-fine expanding and sampling strategy. Embodiments of the training methodology start with learning a coarse-level EBM from images at low resolution and then gradually transits to learn a finer-level EBM from images at higher resolution by expanding the energy function as the learning progresses. Embodiments are computationally efficient with smooth learning and sampling. Tested embodiments achieved the best performance on image generation amongst all EBMs and successfully synthesized high-fidelity images. Embodiments may also be used for image restoration and out-of-distribution detection. Framework embodiments may be further generalized for one-sided unsupervised image-to-image translation and beat baseline methods in terms of model size and training budget. Also presented herein are embodiments of a gradient-based generative saliency methodology to interpret the translation dynamics.

A user equipment (UE) may use an increased transmit power for one or more instances of an autonomous uplink transmission. For example, a UE may be configured with a repetition window including multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs) and may identify a subset of TTIs within the window that may be unavailable for autonomous uplink transmissions. The UE may adjust transmit power or transmit a scheduling request based on the presence of unavailable TTIs. In some examples, the UE may increase the transmit power by an amount that is based on a number of unavailable TTIs, or a fixed amount, or a combination thereof. In some examples, a UE with limited transmit power (e.g., under a maximum transmit power) may dynamically transmit a report to a base station that includes a request to modify a communications scheme used by the UE.

    Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a framework named decomposable variational autoencoder (DecVAE) to disentangle syntax and semantics by using total correlation penalties of Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergences. KL divergence term of the original VAE are decomposed such that the hidden variables generated may be separated in a clear-cut and interpretable way. Embodiments of DecVAE models are evaluated on various semantic similarity and syntactic similarity datasets. Experimental results show that embodiments of DecVAE models achieve state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance in disentanglement between syntactic and semantic representations.

In such cases, a transmitting device may use the techniques described herein to identify appropriate configurations for transmitting the transport block in the repetition window. For example, the transmitting device may identify an adjusted redundancy version sequence to use for transmitting the transport block in the repetition window or the transmitting device may adjust a repetition window based on a TTI in which the transport block is available to be transmitted.
