Abstract: A cooling system is provided for a 3D integrated circuit (IC) to deliver fluid in x, y, and z dimensions to interior regions of the IC as a means to regulate heat. An IC includes a microfluidic network of channels, at least one sensor and at least one microelectromechanical system (MEMS)-based device that is disposed within the network of channels and that is configured to regulate a flow of fluid within the network of channels. Each sensor monitors a state of the IC. Each MEMS-based device receives control signals based on a state of the IC and regulates a flow of fluid within the network of channels based on control signals that area received on a real-time basis based on changes detected in a state of the IC.

Abstract: A method for controlling an electronic device includes determining a software application that is running in the electronic device. Pressing information in relation to a predetermined physical button of the electronic device is detected and a probability of use of each of buttons corresponding to the software application is obtained by searching a preset list according to the software application. An operation is performed according to the pressing information and the probability of use of each of buttons corresponding to the software application.

Abstract: Tracking patterns during a semiconductor fabrication process includes: obtaining an image of a portion of a fabricated device; extracting contours of the portion of the fabricated device from the obtained image; aligning the extracted contour to a matching section of a reference design; decomposing the matching section of the reference design into one or more patterns; and updating a pattern tracking database with information pertaining to at least one pattern in the one or more patterns generated as a result of the decomposition.

Abstract: The growth hormone with high biological activity modified by the double-stranded polyethylene glycol at a single site and the preparation method thereof are provided. The PEGylated growth hormone has a higher biological activity and a longer half-life than the unmodified growth hormone. The composition comprising the PEGylated growth hormone is useful in the treatment of the growth or development disorder such as growth hormone deficiency, Turner syndrome etc.

Abstract: Described herein is a mounting apparatus, comprising a magnetic component, and a mount; wherein the magnetic component comprises one or more permanent magnet; wherein the mounting apparatus is configured to attach to a surface through a magnetic interaction between the magnetic component and a material that is ferromagnetic or ferromagnetic in the surface; wherein the mount comprises a plurality of clips which are configured to be mounted on an air vent in a vehicle. The mounting apparatus provides mounting of any appropriately sized electronic device in a vehicle, to allow convenient viewing and access to the device. The presently disclosed mounting apparatus also realizes a continuous rotation and continuous movement of the portable electronic device while it is held by the mounting apparatus, therefore facilitating user control of the device.

Abstract: A method for prioritizing a mobile originated emergency call over mobile terminated call signaling, includes: initiating an emergency call on a first subscription; determining whether a mobile terminated (MT) call is incoming on a second subscription; in response to determining that the MT call is incoming on the second subscription, aborting the MT call signaling; determining whether the first subscription is out of service; and in response to determining that the first subscription is not out of service completing the emergency call on the first subscription.

Abstract: A shower head with rotary bottom cover assembly includes a water passage member with a third inlet and an outlet chamber communicating with each other, a rotator mounted inside the outlet chamber and having a first rotator inlet, a first outlet and a diverting channel, a rotator cover, a bottom cover assembly. The first rotator inlet is mounted inside the third inlet of the water passage member and communicates with a center portion of the diverting channel. The diverting channel has two second outlets formed on two ends thereof and oppositely located. The rotator cover hermetically covers and seals the outlet chamber and has a hole for an outlet hose to be mounted through. A top of the outlet hose is connected with the center portion of the diverting channel. A bottom of the outlet hose engages the bottom cover assembly. The water head is structurally simple and has massaging effect.

Abstract: A liquid crystal lens structure is disclosed, comprising a first substrate and a second substrate each having oppositely arranged sides, a first side and second side. A liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, in which first side of the first substrate and second side of the second substrate are proximate to the liquid crystal layer. A first transparent conductive layer is disposed between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer. A second transparent conductive layer is disposed on the second side of the second substrate, in which the second transparent conductive layer comprises a circular opening and a circular electrode in the circular opening. Thus, the invention can provide better response time and improve efficiency of the liquid crystal lens structure.

Abstract: An actuator for adjusting a seat includes a motor, a gear-box, and an output member. The gear-box includes a casing accommodating a two stage gear train connecting the motor to the output member. The gear train has a first and second transmission mechanisms. The first transmission mechanism includes a worm on a shaft of the motor, and a worm wheel meshed with the worm. The second transmission mechanism is a movable teeth gear transmission mechanism and has an eccentric wheel that rotates with the worm wheel, an internally toothed ring gear fixed to the casing, a fluted disc with radial grooves formed in its outer periphery, and rollers mounted in the radial grooves. The eccentric wheel drives the rollers to mesh with the ring gear to rotate the fluted disc, to drive the output member.

Abstract: Methods and mechanisms for managing data in a hash table are disclosed. A computing system includes a hash table configured to store data and hash management logic. In response to receiving a request to insert data into the hash table, the hash management logic is configured to generate a first hash value by applying a first hash function to the key of the key-value pair, and identify a first bucket within the hash table that corresponds to the first hash table. If the first bucket has a slot available, store the key-value pair in the slot. If the first bucket does not have a slot available, select a first slot of the first bucket for conversion to a remap entry, store the key-value pair in a second bucket, and store information associating the key-value pair with the second bucket in the remap entry.

Abstract: A Voltage Sourced Converter, VSC, for a High Voltage Direct Current, HVDC, power converter, the VSC comprises a bridge circuit for each of one or more phases of an AG network. The bridge circuit has two arms, each arm connecting the supply to a pole of a DC terminal, wherein each arm of the bridge circuit has one or more semiconductor modules capable of being switched between an on-condition, in which a capacitor of the module is in-line in the arm of the bridge circuit, and an off-condition, in which the capacitor is out of line. A DC current fault detection arrangement detects a fault arising at one or the other of the poles of the DC terminal within the DC converter or the DC grid. A controller responsive to the detection of the DC current fault switches one or more of the semiconductor modules in one of the arms of the bridge to the on and one or more of the semiconductor modules of the other arm of the bridge circuit to the off-condition.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a gasoline efficacy promoter (GEP) boosting combustion efficiency of gasoline in internal combustion engines by a mechanism of micro-dissociation comprising a microemulsion of modified bio-carbon, a surfactant, water, a modified vegetable oil and a dispersant, and a method of making it. The gasoline efficacy promoter, environmentally friendly and stable for longer than six months, can increase the combustion efficiency by more than 10%, and reduce 80% of NOx formation in exhaust emission when an appropriate dosage is added to a fuel tank in a vehicle.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing efficient queues and other data structures. A queue may be shared among multiple processors and/or threads without using explicit software atomic instructions to coordinate access to the queue. System software may allocate an atomic queue and corresponding queue metadata in system memory and return, to the requesting thread, a handle referencing the queue metadata. Any number of threads may utilize the handle for accessing the atomic queue. The logic for ensuring the atomicity of accesses to the atomic queue may reside in a management unit in the memory controller coupled to the memory where the atomic queue is allocated.

A computing system includes multiple nodes connected in a NUMA configuration. Each node includes a processing unit which includes one or more processors. A processor in a processing unit executes an instruction that identifies an address corresponding to a data location. The processor determines whether a memory device stores data corresponding to the address. A response is returned to the processor. The response indicates whether the memory device stores data corresponding to the address. The processor completes processing of the instruction without retrieving the data.

The stator includes a stator core and windings wound around the stator core. The stator core includes a yoke and teeth extending from the yoke. A distal end of each of the teeth forms a tooth tip, with a slot opening formed between each two adjacent tooth tips. The rotor includes a permanent magnet forming a plurality of magnetic poles. The stator and the rotor define an air gap therebetween. A circumferential width of the slot opening is equal to or less than two times of a radial width of the air gap.

The object is clamped in the hexagonal space, and the pivotal member can be pivoted away from the fixed jaw. The pipe wrench is able to quickly clamp and dismounted from the object.

The first interface includes a first cryptologic engine to encrypt a representation of store data of a store operation and a memory address using a first key and a first feedback-based cryptologic process to generate first encrypted data and an encrypted memory address. A memory module includes a second interface coupled to the interconnect. The second interface includes a second cryptologic engine to decrypt the first encrypted data and the encrypted memory address using a second key and a second feedback-based cryptologic process to generate a copy of the representation of the store data and a copy of the memory address. The second interface further is to store the copy of the representation of the store data to a memory location of the memory core based on the copy of the memory address.
